What does this kit contain?
The EP Mini machine and 200 capsules in two boxes of 100, with a choice of Crema e Aroma Gran Espresso (strong espresso, dark chocolate) or Crema e Aroma (strong yet smooth, toasted cereals and chocolate). The kit contents are shown on this page.
Which drinks does the EP Mini make?
According to Lavazza, espresso, long espresso and long coffee. A touch-sensitive button starts and stops brewing: you control the serving size manually, and the cup support is height-adjustable for large cups. The machine has no milk frother: for a cappuccino, froth the milk separately.
How does it differ from A Modo Mio and Lavazza Blue?
These are three distinct Lavazza systems, and their capsules are not interchangeable:
- Espresso Point — the first, launched in 1989 for the office; this is the system used by the EP Mini.
- Lavazza Blue — launched in 2003, also for the office.
- A Modo Mio — launched in 2007 for home use, with the Idola machine.
How much space does the machine take up?
The EP Mini measures 15 cm wide, 33,8 cm deep and 26,5 cm high, and weighs 4 kg. Lavazza designed it for small spaces: an office coffee corner, a reception area or a kitchenette. Its tank holds 0,75 L of water.
How do you maintain the EP Mini?
Empty the used capsule drawer (maximum 10 capsules), keep fresh water in the tank and descale according to the machine's instructions. It enters low-power mode and switches off automatically after 9 minutes of inactivity.
How many coffees does it make?
200 coffees: one capsule per cup. For example, at 5 coffees a day, the kit lasts 40 days. After that, capsules can be ordered by the box of 100 or in kits of 300 to 1 000 capsules with cups, sugar and stirrers.
