Taste Profile
Pronto Crema ("Fast Crema" in Italian) is a blend specifically calibrated by Lavazza to optimize extraction in high-volume bar settings —where a barista must produce 300-500 espressos per service, every second counts. The blend is composed ofArabica and Robusta beans with a calculated ratio to quickly develop a dense crema, even with short extractions of 20-25 seconds, without compromising aromatic quality.
Medium roast , calibrated bar cadence — the Italian Ho.Re.Ca blending school that prioritizes stability and reproducibility : the grind remains consistent from one bag to the next, the crema is reliable extraction after extraction , and the aroma is balanced without surprises. A "sure thing" blend for heavy use.
In the cup: a balanced and well-roundedwith notes of chocolate, hazelnut , and cocoa, and a medium finish. The crema is dense and forms quickly —ideal for a bar where the barista needs to make a series of extractions without waiting. A good compromise between speed and quality in the cup.

Frequently Asked Questions
6kg format vs 1kg unit — how to choose?
The blend and flavor profile are exactly the same. Choose according to your volume:
- Pronto Crema 1 kg — discovery / office low consumption, autonomy 1-2 weeks.
- Pronto Crema 6 kg (this ref.) — high-volume bar/restaurant, 4-6 week autonomy.
The 6 kg format remains the most cost-effective for a bar with a sustained, regular turnover.
Pronto Crema vs Super Crema vs Crema Ricca — how to choose?
Three Lavazza blends, all crema-oriented, with distinct positioning:
- Pronto Crema (this ref.) — optimized extraction speed bar rate. Extraction 20-25 s, reliable and fast crema.
- Super Crema 6 kg — very dense, versatile crema. Extraction 25-30 s, honey-almond notes, sweeter.
- Crema Ricca 1 kg — abundant crema + indulgent aroma. Notes of milk chocolate and caramel, signature bar positioning.
Choose Pronto Crema for a high-volume bar where extraction speed is critical.
What does "Pronto Crema" mean in Italian?
Pronto Crema translates to " Ready/Fast Crema " in Italian—a practical promise : the crema rises quickly, in as little as 20 seconds of extraction, without requiring any fine-tuning of the grind. The blend is calibrated by Lavazza's master roasters to be forgiving —tolerant of variations in dosage, temperature, and tamping—ideal for a bar where several baristas work in shifts without any calibration time. It's the preferred Lavazza blend for high-volume bar owners.
Who exactly is this 6kg pack intended for?
Target market: High-volume bar/restaurant :
- High-volume bar/café — large clientele, 200-500 espressos/service.
- Large brasserie/restaurant — after-dinner coffee, lunch and dinner service.
- Company cafeteria for 60-100 employees — high-capacity machine with peak demand.
- Multi-barist establishment — consistency of quality between different operators.
Estimated yield ~857 espressos at standard 7g dose.
Compatible with milk-based drinks and cappuccinos?
Yes, very good. The dense, fast-acting crema characteristic of Pronto Crema holds steamed milk perfectly— for cappuccinos, latte macchiatos, and café crèmes. The chocolate and cocoa notes blend naturally with the sweetness of the milk. Because the blend is calibrated for extraction speed, it allows a barista to serve a cappuccino in 45-60 seconds —critical for high-volume service. A good compromise between speed and quality for milk-based drinks.
How to store the 6 x 1kg bags to preserve freshness?
Each 1 kg bag is sealed under a protected atmosphere (nitrogen) and equipped with a degassing valve. As long as a bag remains unopened, it will keep until the indicated best before date (18-24 months). Store unopened bags at room temperature (18-22°C), away from light—do not refrigerate. Once a bag is opened, reseal it carefully or transfer the contents to an airtight, opaque container, and ideally consume within 3 to 4 weeks.
