Flavour profile
Gold Selection is a blend from the Lavazza professional range, which the company describes as having pronounced sweetness, delicate acidity and medium body. It combines washed Arabica from Central and South America, natural Arabica and washed and semi-washed Robusta, such as Kaapi Royale from India and Java.
Medium roast: Arabica brings finesse and sweetness, while Robusta brings crema and body. In the cup: a rounded espresso with notes of honey and nuts and restrained bitterness.
The pack of 6 bags is intended for bars, restaurants and offices that want a mild espresso alongside a more full-bodied coffee, and for households that drink a lot of coffee.

Frequently asked questions
6 kg pack vs 3 kg pack vs single 1 kg bag — how do I choose?
The blend and flavour profile are exactly the same across the 3 pack sizes. Choose according to how much you use:
- Gold Selection 1 kg — trying it out / office with low consumption, lasts 1–2 weeks.
- Gold Selection 3 kg — gourmet bar / small restaurant, lasts 2–3 weeks.
- Gold Selection 6 kg (this product) — medium-sized gourmet bar / hotel rated 4–5 stars, lasts 4–6 weeks.
Is Gold Selection a 100% Arabica coffee?
No. Lavazza makes it with washed Arabica from Central and South America, natural Arabica and washed and semi-washed Robusta, such as Kaapi Royale from India and Java; the company does not publish the proportions. It should not be confused with Qualità Oro, another Lavazza coffee, made with 100% Arabica and sold in packs for home use.
For Lavazza coffee beans that are 100% Arabica, choose Aroma Top 1 kg.
Arabica and Robusta: what does each bring to the cup?
Gold Selection combines both coffee species:
- Arabica brings aromatic finesse and acidity: here, washed Arabica from Central and South America provides delicate acidity.
- Robusta brings crema, body and more pronounced bitterness; Lavazza selects washed and semi-washed Robusta, with a cleaner taste than natural Robusta.
The result, according to Lavazza: pronounced sweetness, delicate acidity and medium body.
Who exactly is this 6 kg pack for?
A format designed for regular consumption:
- Bar and restaurant — a mild espresso to offer alongside a more full-bodied coffee.
- Hotel — breakfast and restaurant service.
- Office — a rounded coffee with broad appeal.
- Home — for keen lovers of mild espresso.
Estimated yield ~857 espressos at the standard dose of 7 g, in 6 bags of 1 kg to open one after another.
How should you store the 6 bags of 1 kg to preserve freshness?
Each 1 kg bag is packed in a protective atmosphere and fitted with a degassing valve. As long as a bag remains in its original sealed condition, it will keep until the date shown on the bag. Store unopened bags at room temperature (18–22 °C), away from light — do not refrigerate. Once a bag is open, reseal it carefully or transfer the contents to an opaque airtight jar, and ideally use within 3 to 4 weeks.
