Usage & recommendations
Professional B2B use — designed for Lavazza Expert Coffee machines found in offices, hotels, meeting rooms, catering facilities, and 3-4 star hotels. The machine automatically dispenses hot water onto the capsule/milk+coffee dose, producing an instant, creamy cappuccino in approximately 20-25 seconds — eliminating the need for a manual frother.
Each box contains 10 pre-measured individual doses — perfect dosage, impeccable hygiene, zero waste. Typical yield: 10 cups/box , or approximately 1 week for an office with approximately 10 people consuming one cappuccino per day.
Differentiation vs. barista cappuccino : The Cappuccino Expert is a practical B2B solution, not a replacement for the traditional Italian barista cappuccino (fresh espresso + steamed milk + foam). It aims for a quality/simplicity compromise for professional environments where manual preparation is not feasible (multiple users, absence of a barista, hygiene constraints).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Lavazza Expert Coffee system?
Lavazza Expert Coffee (formerly Espresso Point 4.0) is Lavazza's professional B2B system for offices, hotels, meeting rooms, and catering. It combines dedicated Lavazza Expert machines with coffee capsules and hot beverage pods (cappuccino, hot chocolate, tea, herbal tea). The machine automatically dispenses hot water onto the capsule/dose, preparing the beverage in approximately 20-25 seconds —convenient, clean, and fast.
Difference with Lavazza Blue and Espresso Point :
- Lavazza Blue — LB machines (LB300, LB2310…) + coffee capsules only, office/business positioning.
- Lavazza Espresso Point (historical EP 1989) — coffee capsules only, positioned for bars/hotels, restaurants, and cafes.
- Lavazza Expert Coffee (this system) — coffee capsules + hot beverage doses, office + hotel/community positioning (covers cappuccino, chocolate, tea, etc. via soluble doses).
Difference with a traditional barista cappuccino?
Two distinct categories :
- Italian barista cappuccino — 1/3 fresh espresso (40 mL) + 1/3 steamed milk (60 mL) + 1/3 hot foam (60 mL), prepared with a milk frother using UHT whole milk. Professional bar-quality coffee shop. Requires barista skill, time, and equipment.
- Cappuccino Expert (this product) — milk + reconstituted ground coffee dose , automatic machine dispensing. Practical B2B compromise quality . No expertise required, preparation in 20-25 seconds, impeccable hygiene.
Positioning : The Cappuccino Expert targets professional environments without a barista, where simplicity and reproducibility are more important than flavor refinement. For an authentic cappuccino, use an capsules Blue+ steamed milk (see Lavazza LB300).
Ingredients — powdered milk and flavourings?
Typical composition of a single serving of Cappuccino Expert: reconstituted skimmed milk powder, sugar, soluble coffee extract (approximately 5-10%), natural milk/cream flavorings, possibly food thickeners and emulsifiers (E471, E340, or equivalents for a smooth texture in the cup). Guaranteed GMO-free in accordance with Lavazza European standards. Allergens : milk/dairy products — not suitable for lactose-intolerant or vegan individuals.
Note : Exact composition to be checked on product packaging — variations depending on production batch. Signature Lavazza guarantees the use of premium ingredients versus low-cost generic powders.
Can it be used in other espresso machines?
No — only for Lavazza Expert Coffee machines . The capsule is physically sized for the Expert capsule holder, and the machine automatically dispenses hot water at the exact temperature, flow rate, and volume required. Lavazza Blue, Espresso Point, A Modo Mio, and Firma machines are not compatible.
For use outside of a Lavazza Expert machine : prefer Lavazza powdered chocolate sachets (#31604) or Ristora instant chocolate 1 kg (#48970) for manual preparation.
Flavored version — Hazelnut variant?
Yes — see Lavazza Expert Hazelnut Cappuccino x10 servings (#31874) — a gourmet hazelnut-flavored option (natural roasted hazelnut flavoring + classic milk/coffee base). An alternative to Starbucks-style "signature" drinks for the office coffee break that appreciates an extra touch of flavor. Other flavors may be available depending on stock (vanilla, caramel, white chocolate) — please contact us.
Storage and best before date?
Best before date: 12-18 months depending on the production batch (see date on packaging). Store away from moisture, heat, and direct light (room temperature 15-25°C, relative humidity < 65%). The doses are hermetically —no need to worry about short-term oxidation. Once opened, reseal carefully and consume within 3-4 weeks to preserve aroma and texture. A damp or improperly stored may not dissolve properly in the machine (lumps, degraded extraction).
