Organic whole bean coffee is coffee whose cultivation, harvesting, and roasting comply with the European organic farming standards (EU Regulation 2018/848): zero synthetic pesticides , zero chemical fertilizers, agroecological practices that preserve soils and biodiversity, and inspection and certification by an independent body ( Ecocert , Certisys , etc.). The AB label (France) or the Euroleaf (EU) guarantees this complete respect for the supply chain—from planting to roasting, including transport and packaging.
At Cafemalin, our organic whole bean coffee selection is supported by the ¡Tierra! Voix de la Terre Lavazza range — a program launched by Lavazza in 2002 with the Giuseppe and Pericle Lavazza. This initiative combines EU organic certification and Rainforest Alliance to: (1) protect tropical forests and the biodiversity of coffee-growing areas, (2) provide financial and technical support to small-scale producers in Central America, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Southeast Asia, and (3) fund local development projects (schools, clinics, infrastructure).
The ¡Tierra! Voix de la Terre is made from 100% Arabica coffee from carefully selected origins: chocolate, floral, and red fruit , according to Lavazza's signature medium roast. A balanced body, dense crema, and moderate acidity—an aromatic profile suited to a wide audience looking to discover a consistently high-quality organic espresso. Three sizes cover all uses: 1 kg for homes and small offices, 3 kg for medium-sized offices, and 6 kg for Ho.Re.Ca., restaurants, or large homes.
Organic coffee costs more than conventional coffee (approximately 30% more on average), reflecting lower yields (no chemical fertilizers = 1.5-2 times less production per hectare), annual certification and audits , a premium for producers to convert to and maintain organic farming, a shorter supply chain, and traceability. It's a conscious choice for soil health , biodiversity , and a decent income for farmers—without compromising on the quality of the cup.

The questions our customers ask most often.
coffee beans are coffee grown, processed, and transported according to European Regulation 2018/848 on organic farming. This implies:
The AB (French Organic Agriculture) label or the Euroleaf (EU) are visible on the packaging to guarantee this conformity.
Organic coffee costs approximately 30% more than conventional coffee for several reasons combined:
This additional cost is redistributed to producers and certification — it is a committed choice, not an additional margin for the roaster.
The ¡Tierra! — in French Voix de la Terre (, in Italian Voci della Terra — is Lavazza's sustainability program launched in 2002 by the Giuseppe and Pericle Lavazza Foundation. It is based on three commitments:
This blend combines several Arabica origins in an aromatic balance (chocolate, flowers, red fruits) that appeals to all palates. Produced and roasted in Italy by Lavazza (Turin).
The choice of format depends on your consumption volume and storage capacity :
Tip: prefer several small 1kg bags rather than one large format if you consume slowly — the freshness of the grain decreases 4-6 weeks after opening.
Organic certification guarantees a production method that respects the environment and producers, but not necessarily superior taste . The quality in the cup depends on multiple factors:
The ¡Tierra! Voix de la Terre Lavazza combines organic certification, 100% Arabica selection, and Lavazza's signature roasting. The result in the cup is a balanced and approachable espresso —not an exceptional single-origin coffee, but an excellent everyday organic coffee, backed by a strong ethical project.
