The illy Iperespresso : Classico, Classico Lungo and Decaf, 100% Arabica, in boxes of 18, 30 or 90 capsules. For illy Iperespresso machines only.
Illy was founded in 1933 in Trieste, when Francesco Illy, who had arrived from Vienna after the First World War, established illycaffè. In 1935, he invented theIlletta, which the company presents as the ancestor of modern espresso machines, thanks to a patented system that separates the heating of the water from its pressurization. He also developed point pressurization of coffee tins, which preserves their aromas.
The core of the range is a 100% Arabica blend combining nine Arabica varieties : illy states that it selects only 1% of the Arabica beans, the finest and most flawless. This blend is available in various roasts (Classico, Intenso, Forte, Decaf) and formats, including Iperespresso capsules .
The Iperespresso capsule is a small extraction chamber: the coffee is first hyper-infused, which develops its body and aromas, then emulsified, forming a thick, velvety, and persistent crema. illy presents this two-phase process as patented. The capsules are packaged in a protective atmosphere, and one capsule yields one espresso.
At Cafemalin, the Iperespresso range includes Classico (box of 18, pack of 90 capsules, and box of 30 from the Professional range), Classico Lungo (box of 30, Professional range), and Decaf (box of 18, pack of 90 capsules, and box of 18 from the Professional range). Only compatible with illy Iperespresso machines : illy specifies that its Iperespresso capsules only work with its Iperespresso machines. In its current range, these are the X7.1 , the Y3.3 , and the X1 Anniversary ECO Mode , in its Iperespresso version (the X1 Anniversary for ESE pods and ground coffee does not accept them).

Decaf is available in boxes of 18 and in packs of 90 capsules.
illy recommends storing them in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated, away from sunlight and heat. The capsules are packaged in a protective atmosphere; once the box is opened, illy advises consuming them preferably within 15 days.
Iperespresso capsules are made of plastic. Please direct them to plastic recycling, or to a dedicated collection point where one exists: follow your local recycling guidelines. Coffee grounds can be composted.
