Each coffee comes in a 1 kg bag, and most are available in packs of 3 and 6 bags of the same coffee: each bag stays sealed until you open it.
Kimbo began in Naples in 1963: the Rubino brothers, Francesco, Gerardo and Elio, founded Cafè do Brasil and invested in what was then an innovation, the vacuum-sealed tin, to bring Neapolitan coffee to the whole of Italy. In 2013, the company took its brand name, Kimbo S.p.A., and it is still owned by the Rubino family. Since 1994, Kimbo has held second place in packaged coffee sold through supermarkets in Italy, behind Lavazza.
The coffee is roasted and blended at the Melito di Napoli factory, just outside Naples, then dispatched from the logistics hub at the Nola intermodal freight terminal. Kimbo has automated roasting and blending, but its roasters oversee the roast and create the Arabica and Robusta blends.
At Cafemalin, Kimbo coffee beans are sold in 1 kg bags: Prestige, predominantly Arabica, very balanced, with notes of caramel and dried fruit; Extra Cream, predominantly Robusta, with a full body and thick crema, also a medium roast; and Kimbo Bio, certified organic and Fairtrade, floral and mild. Cremoso (half Arabica, half Robusta, full-bodied and spicy), Espresso Mix and Armonico, from the Vending line, complete the range.
Each coffee is available in a 1 kg bag, and most come in packs of 3 and 6 bags, for regular use at home, in the office or in a restaurant. Whole coffee beans are ground just before extraction, either by the built-in grinder of an automatic machine or by a separate grinder.
Cafemalin scale from 1 (very mild) to 10 (very intense), based on descriptions from Kimbo and its distributors:

The questions our customers ask most often.
Yes. Prestige and Extra Cream belong to Kimbo's professional range for bars and restaurants, supplied in 1 kg bags in boxes of six; Armonico comes from its Vending range, designed for automatic coffee machines. At Cafemalin, these coffees are available in 1 kg bags and packs of 3 and 6 bags, for an office, a restaurant or high consumption at home.
Two medium-roast Arabica and Robusta blends with contrasting profiles:
Prestige for a smooth espresso to drink on its own, Extra Cream for a bolder espresso or a cappuccino.
Yes, most Kimbo coffees blend Arabica and Robusta in proportions that give them their character:
Robusta adds body, thick crema and more caffeine; Arabica adds aroma and sweetness.
Kimbo also sells ground coffee for moka pots or espresso machines. At Cafemalin, its range consists of coffee beans: a grinder, or the built-in grinder in an automatic machine, grinds them just before brewing, preserving their aromas better than coffee ground in advance. Use a fine grind for espresso and a slightly coarser grind for a moka pot.
An unopened bag keeps until the date printed on it. Once opened:
With a pack of 3 or 6 bags, you only open one bag at a time: the others stay sealed.
Depending on how much coffee you drink:
The packs contain 1 kg bags, not one large bag: you open one bag at a time and the others stay sealed.
