Delta Q is the capsule brand launched in 2007 by Delta Cafés, a brand belonging to the Portuguese Nabeiro , founded in 1961 in Campo Maior by Rui Nabeiro and a leader in roasted coffee in Portugal for over twenty years. Delta Q itself became the leading capsule brand in Portugal in 2012 and embodies unique Portuguese expertise in the world of capsules.
The Intensity classifies each blend by a number: at Cafemalin, from QONVICTUS N°5, classic and balanced, with notes of caramel and chocolate, toUNIQ N°16, the highest level ever offered by the brand. In between, there'sAQTIVUS N°8, intense and stimulating, QHARACTER N°9 with notes of caramel and dried fruit, the iconic QALIDUS N°10 (the range's best-seller), QHARISMA N°12,EPIQ N°14 , and MYTHIQ N°15, with notes of cocoa and hints of raspberry.
The range also includes single-origin coffees ( Brazil , Colombia , Jamaica ), specialty coffees ( Canela with cinnamon, double-certified organic , Double Shot with ginseng and guarana), the rich and authentic DEQAFEINATUS N°7 decaffeinated coffee, Relax chamomile herbal tea, and the 4-intensity pack (N°9, 10, 12 and 14) to compare several blends in one order.
Delta Q stands out for its consistency: at Campo Maior, green coffee beans are tasted daily by experts before being roasted and blended. The blends combine Arabica and Robusta beans from Africa, the Americas, and Asia (Angola, Cameroon, and Honduras for Qalidus No. 10). The capsule consists of a plastic body and an aluminum lid, both recyclable once separated.

No, Delta Q capsules are not compatible with Nespresso. The Delta Q capsule has a format specific to the brand, which only fits in Delta Q machines : Mini Qool, ICONIQ, Qool Evolution or Milk Qool Evolution, for example.
If you own a Nespresso Original machine, you should instead choose our compatible capsules: Lavazza or our Nespresso Original compatibles.
A Delta Q machine only accepts Delta Q format capsules : Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, or Lavazza capsules are not compatible. All the capsules listed on this page are genuine Delta Q capsules, including coffee, decaf, and herbal teas, usable in the brand's machines , from the Mini Qool to the ICONIQ .
Some retailers sell capsules in the same format under their own brand; Delta Q only guarantees the quality of extraction with its own capsules.
Delta Q capsules are produced in Portugal, in Campo Maior (Alentejo), the birthplace of the Nabeiro group: the green coffees are tasted there daily by tasters, then roasted and blended. The beans come from several producing countries, different depending on the blend: Qalidus No. 10 combines Robusta fromAngola and Cameroon with an Arabica from Honduras, while MythiQ No. 15 combines coffees fromAngola and Cameroon.
The number on each box indicates the intensity of the blend: this is the best guide for choosing, or for comparing with the 4 intensity pack.
Each Delta Q capsule has an intensity number. For Delta Q, intensity refers to the strength of the coffee's flavor, which depends on the amount of ground coffee, the roast level, and the type of beans: the higher the number, the stronger the espresso. At Cafemalin, the range goes from No. 5 to No. 16.
The single-origin coffees (Brazil 9, Colombia 8, Jamaica 8) and the specialty coffees (Bio 7, Canela 7, Double Shot 13 with ginseng and guarana) follow the same scale.

Yes, their materials are recyclable, provided they are recycled through the correct channels. A Delta Q capsule combines a plastic body and an aluminum lid ; according to Delta Q, each one is recyclable by separating the plastic, aluminum, and coffee grounds.
In France, recycling guidelines vary by municipality: check where to dispose of your used capsules on the Recycling Guide (website or app). Coffee grounds, however, can be composted.
