The Maestro collection is the range of aluminum capsules that Lavazza designs for Nespresso Original machines , the most widespread round capsule system. Since the expiration of Nespresso's patents, several brands have offered compatible capsules; Lavazza brings its own blends and roasting process to the table. Lavazza emphasizes that it is neither affiliated with nor supported by Nespresso.
The format is a box of 100 capsules (10 packs of 10, €30), which works out to €0.30 per cup for the Classico. The aluminum blocks light and oxygen, which degrade the coffee: the grounds remain protected until extraction.
The range comprises three coffees: Maestro Classico , 100% Arabica from Africa and South America, balanced and slightly acidic, with notes of cereal and biscuit, is our best-seller . Maestro Lungo , 100% Arabica with a light roast, is a long, smooth, floral, and fruity coffee. Maestro Ristretto , a blend of Arabica and Robusta, yields a short, intense, and full-bodied espresso with notes of chocolate and caramel.
Please note: these capsules are compatible with Nespresso Original machines only (Essenza, Inissia, Pixie, CitiZ, Creatista, Lattissima, etc.). They are not suitable for Nespresso Vertuo, which use a different rotary extraction system. For Lavazza's own capsule system, see the A Modo Mio.

No. Lavazza Nespresso-compatible capsules are designed for the Nespresso Original only (Essenza, Inissia, Pixie, CitiZ, Creatista, Lattissima machines, etc.).
Nespresso Vertuo machines read a barcode on the capsule and extract it by rotation: another system, for which these capsules are not designed.
The simplest is the Maestro Classico 100 caps, our best seller : 100% Arabica, balanced and slightly acidic, with notes of cereal and biscuit, for everyday espresso.
For variety, the Lavazza Nespresso compatible pack consists of at least three boxes of 100, with a choice of three coffees.
Yes, the capsules are made of aluminum, a recyclable material:
