Lavazza Maestro Lungo is the long coffee from the Maestro collection , Lavazza's aluminum capsules for Nespresso Original machines . Lavazza blends it from 100% Arabica beans from Africa , the Americas , and Southeast Asia , using a light roast: a smooth and aromatic coffee with floral and fruity notes , intensity 5 on the Lavazza scale of 13. Blended for the lungo button's long cup, it retains its aromas without bitterness; the aluminum protects the grounds from light and oxygen until extraction.

What is the difference between a classic espresso and a lungo?
It's primarily a question of water volume :
- Espresso — a short cup, about 40 mL with the espresso button of a Nespresso Original machine: a concentrated coffee, with a dense crema.
- Lungo — a long cup, approximately 110 mL with the lungo button: a milder and thinner coffee.
A coffee intended for lungo can withstand this volume without becoming bitter: this is the role of the Maestro Lungo, 100% Arabica with a light roast.
Compatible with all Nespresso machines?
Only Nespresso Original machines : Essenza Mini, Pixie, Inissia, CitiZ, Lattissima, Creatista, Atelier, U, Prodigio, Le Cube, Expert, as well as Krups Nespresso, Magimix Nespresso, and De'Longhi Nespresso machines. Most of these machines have a dedicated "lungo" button that automatically increases the extraction volume. Not compatible with Nespresso Vertuo (different system, barcoded capsules with centrifugal extraction).
Difference between Maestro Classico and Lungo?
Two 100% Arabica from the Maestro collection, for two different cups:
- Maestro Classico — espresso, dark roast, intensity 9/13, notes of cereal and biscuit, slightly acidic.
- Maestro Lungo (this product) — long coffee, light roast, intensity 5/13, floral and fruity notes.
The Classico can be made into a lungo, but each one is blended and roasted for its specific cup.
Difference with the official Nespresso Vivalto Lungo?
Two coffees from two different brands, for the same machines: Vivalto Lungo is a Nespresso coffee, Maestro Lungo is a Lavazza, 100% Arabica, floral and fruity, intensity 5/13. Lavazza specifies that it is neither affiliated with nor supported by Nespresso. The price per capsule for each product is displayed on its product page.

Recycling and storage of capsules?
The capsules are made of aluminum, a recyclable material: please recycle them with your other packaging, according to your local council's guidelines. The best-before date is indicated on each box; the aluminum protects the coffee from light and oxygen as long as the capsule remains unopened. Store the boxes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
