Frequently Asked Questions
Are Maestro capsules really compatible with Nespresso?
Yes — 100% compatible with Nespresso Original machines. Lavazza developed the Maestro line specifically for this market after theNespresso patent was opened in 2012.Maestro capsules respect the geometry and extraction parameters of Nespresso Original. Please note : not compatible with Nespresso Vertuo (different system, capsules with barcodes extracted by centrifugation). What's the difference with official Nespresso capsules?
These are two different companies: Lavazza, a roaster founded in Turin in 1895, blends and roasts its own coffees for the Nespresso Original. Lavazza specifies that it is neither affiliated with nor supported by Nespresso. Like Nespresso capsules, Maestro capsules are made of aluminum; the price per capsule for each variety is displayed on its product page.
