Lavazza Blue coffee machine

All three machines use the same Lavazza Blue capsules; they differ in size and features:

• LB 300 Classy Mini (180 €) — the most compact of the three: 13,5 cm wide, a 0,7 L tank, two programmable buttons, a container holding 5 capsules and a heat-up time of 28 seconds. Our bestseller.
• LB 1300C Classy Soul (229,08 €) — the compact model with a touchscreen (16,3 cm wide). Six selections: espresso 30 ml, espresso lungo 45 ml, lungo 90 ml, free-flow dispensing up to 150 ml and two Specialities buttons (50 / 120 ml) for Blue chocolate, milk or tea capsules. Temperature Boost, programmable drink volumes, a 1,6 L tank, a capsule container with an indicator light and automatic shut-off after 9 minutes. Ideal for offices, reception areas and small to medium-sized teams.
• Professional LB 2310 (835 €) — for offices, shops and institutions: a 4 L tank, a container holding 25 capsules, a touch control panel with a display, a hot water spout and a pump pressure of 19 bar.

In short: the LB 300 for a few coffees a day in a small space, the Classy Soul for adjusting drink volumes and also serving capsule drinks, and the LB 2310 for a team, with its large tank and hot water.

Fill the water tank, place a Lavazza Blue capsule in its compartment and choose your drink: the machine heats the water and forces it under pressure through the coffee in the capsule. The used capsule then drops into a container (5 capsules on the LB 300, 25 on the LB 2310), which you empty when prompted by the machine.

As the capsule is sealed, there is no grinding or measuring to do: each coffee is prepared with the same dose, 8 to 9 g depending on the blend.

Capsules in the Lavazza Blue format:

• Lavazza Blue capsules: Blue Intenso, Amabile, the Tales of collection (Venezia, Milano, Roma, Napoli), decaffeinated coffee, chocolate, the milk-flavoured drink Bevanda Bianca and teas;
• Blue-compatible capsules from other roasters, such as Bristot Arabica Plus.

Not compatible: A Modo Mio, Espresso Point, Firma, Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsules, which have their own machines.

The machine notifies you: a descaling alert on the LB 300, a message on the display of the LB 2310, and an orange indicator light on the LB 1300C Classy Soul. The frequency depends on your water hardness and the number of coffees made.

LB 2310: remove the limescale filter if fitted, start the ‘Descaling cycle’ from the maintenance menu, with 250 ml of descaling solution and 750 ml of water in the tank, then follow the messages on the display. LB 1300C Classy Soul: dedicated programme, 250 ml of Lavazza descaler and 250 ml of water, followed by rinsing with 2 L of clean water. LB 300: follow the instructions supplied with the machine.

Use a coffee machine descaler, never vinegar (Lavazza's instruction). A water filter or water low in limescale reduces the frequency of descaling.

Lavazza has four capsule systems, which are not interchangeable:

• A Modo Mio (2007) — the system for home use, with the Jolie, Tiny, Deséa or Idola machines (192,60 € for the Idola).
• Lavazza Blue (2003) — for offices and public spaces: LB 300 Classy Mini, LB 1300C Classy Soul, LB 2310.
• Espresso Point (1989) — Lavazza's first system, for offices and catering; a capsule with a paper filter, packaged in pairs.
• Firma — professional system, vacuum-packed capsule, Inovy machines.

The choice mainly depends on how you use it: A Modo Mio at home, Blue, Espresso Point or Firma at the office. A capsule only works in a machine from its own system.

• Complete LB 300 + 200 capsules + accessories kit (249,10 €) — the same kit, with 200 paper cups, sugar sticks and wooden stirrers.

To stock an office, capsule kits with accessories: 300 capsules, 600 capsules or 1 000 capsules, with cups, sugar and stirrers.

All orders placed before 16 h on a working day are dispatched the same day, with delivery generally within 24 to 48 hours in mainland France. At checkout, you can choose delivery to a pick-up point, home delivery, express delivery before 13 h, or collection from the shop in Sarcelles.
