Flavour profile
Orocrema is the blend that Genoese roaster Covim describes as a vigorous combination of Arabica and Robusta, with a subtle aroma of tropical wood. In the cup, it produces an espresso with a bold, lingering flavour, a very creamy texture, and hints of cocoa and aromatic woods: ‘creamy and bold’, according to Covim, with an intensity of 9 out of 10 on its scale. Covim does not publish the proportions of Arabica and Robusta.
This box contains 100 capsules compatible with the Lavazza Blue system, with one capsule per coffee. Orocrema is also available in the Covim range as Lavazza Firma capsules and coffee beans.

Frequently asked questions
What does Covim Orocrema taste like?
Covim describes Orocrema as creamy and bold: a blend of Arabica and Robusta with an intense aroma, a lingering flavour and a very creamy texture, with a subtle aroma of tropical wood and hints of cocoa. Its intensity is 9 out of 10 on Covim's scale, which rates its coffees out of 10, while Lavazza rates its Blue capsules out of 13: the two figures cannot be compared.
For another full-bodied Blue capsule coffee, see Blue Intenso (11 out of 13) or Tales of Napoli (12) from Lavazza; for a milder coffee, try Honduras 100% Arabica from Covim.
Do these capsules fit all Lavazza Blue machines?
Covim states that they are compatible with the Lavazza Blue system: the system used by Lavazza ‘LB’ machines — LB 300 Classy Mini, LB 1300C Classy Soul, LB 2310… — and machines from other brands designed for Blue capsules, such as the Covim CO120. They do not fit A Modo Mio, Espresso Point, Firma, Nespresso or Dolce Gusto machines.
Orocrema in Blue capsules, Firma capsules or coffee beans?
Covim offers Orocrema in several formats, which are not interchangeable: a capsule only fits machines using its own system.
- Lavazza Blue capsules (this product) — for machines using the Blue system.
- Lavazza Firma capsules — for machines using the Firma system, Lavazza's system for the office.
- Coffee beans — for a bean-to-cup machine or a grinder.
Check your machine's system before choosing.
Orocrema, Honduras or Granbar Bidose: which Covim capsule should you choose?
They all fit the same Lavazza Blue machines; the choice comes down to taste:
- Orocrema (this product) — Arabica and Robusta, creamy and bold, with a subtle note of tropical wood: intensity 9 out of 10.
- Honduras 100% Arabica — washed, aromatic and delicate, with notes of red berries and cocoa: intensity 7 out of 10.
- Granbar Bidose — rich and full-bodied, with notes of toast and dried fruit; one capsule for two espressos.
Intensity ratings use Covim's scale (out of 10).
