Is Tales of Napoli a cafe in Naples?
It's a tribute : Lavazza, a company founded in Turin, evokes "the captivating soul of Southern Italy" through a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans and a long roasting process, resulting in a rich and full-bodied coffee. For coffee from a Neapolitan roaster, see Kimbo, a company founded in Naples in 1963.
Composition — Arabica or Robusta?
According to Lavazza, the blend consists of two types of beans: naturally washed Arabica and "high-quality" Robusta from Central and South America . Lavazza does not disclose the proportions of each. The long, dark roast imparts notes of bitter cocoa and caramel.
Compatible with systems other than Lavazza Blue ?
No capsule Blue has a shape specific to its system and only works in a Lavazza Blue (LB 300 Classy Mini, LB 1300C Classy Soul, LB 2310…). It is not suitable for Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, Delta Q or illy Iperespresso machines, nor for other Lavazza systems (A Modo Mio, Espresso Point, Firma).
Blue Intenso or Tales of Napoli: which one to choose?
Two blends of Arabica and Robusta with a dark roast:
- Blue Intenso — intensity 11 out of 13 : an intense and creamy, chocolatey espresso, 8g of coffee per capsule; our best-selling Blue.
- Tales of Napoli (this product) — intensity 12 out of 13 : a long roast, notes of bitter cocoa and caramel, 9g of coffee per capsule.
For the strongest cup, the Napoli; for an intense and creamier espresso, the Intenso.
How many cups can you make with 100 capsules?
One capsule makes one espresso: the box therefore makes 100 coffees, with 9g of coffee per capsule. At the office, at 2 coffees per person per day, it lasts 10 working days for 5 people and 5 days for 10; at home, at 3 coffees per day, a little over a month.
