The Lavazza Firma system in 90 seconds

Firma is Lavazza's capsule system for the office: home working, small and medium-sized offices. Its machines, including the Inovy range, are made available by Lavazza and its distributors, and its capsules have their own format: they cannot be used in Lavazza A Modo Mio, Blue or Espresso Point machines, or in Nespresso machines.

Covim, a roaster from Genoa founded in 1991 through the merger of two Genoese firms, offers two Arabica and Robusta blends in Firma-compatible capsules: Orocrema, a powerful blend with a subtle note of tropical wood and a pronounced intensity (9 according to Covim), and the milder Granbar, with notes of honey and cereals (8). Box of 100 capsules (26,42 € for Orocrema, equivalent to 0,26 € per cup).

The capsules are single-dose, stored in a controlled atmosphere and individually sealed. For sorting, follow your local authority's instructions: since 2023, all packaging can be sorted for recycling in France (Citeo). For home use, see our range of Lavazza capsules.

Selected by Selection & testing by our team of coffee experts — sourced directly from COVIM (Genoa, Italy) and independent European roasters.

Frequently asked questions

The questions our customers ask most often.

Are these capsules compatible with Lavazza A Modo Mio?

No. Firma and A Modo Mio are two distinct Lavazza systems that use different capsules: Firma for the office, A Modo Mio for the home. For A Modo Mio, see our range of Lavazza A Modo Mio capsules.

Which machines work with these capsules?

Machines using the Lavazza Firma system, including the Inovy range (Inovy, Inovy Mini, Inovy Compact, Inovy & Milk). Covim states that its capsules are compatible with the Firma system, without listing individual models: check for the name ‘Firma’ on your machine or in its manual.

What is the difference between Orocrema and Granbar?

The two Covim blends of Arabica and Robusta compatible with Lavazza Firma:

  • Orocrema — intensity 9: a vigorous blend with a subtle note of tropical wood.
  • Granbar — intensity 8: milder, with notes of honey and cereals.
Are these capsules made by Lavazza?

No. They are supplied by Covim, a Genoese roaster independent of Lavazza, formed in 1991 through the merger of Coveca (1969) and Compagnia Mediterranea Caffè (1974), which roasts its coffee in Tribogna, in the Genoese hinterland. Firma is a Lavazza brand: these capsules are compatible with that system.

How should I sort empty Firma capsules?

Follow your local authority's sorting instructions: since 2023, all packaging can be sorted for recycling in France (Citeo). Refer to the sorting instructions printed on the box.

How long will my capsules take to arrive?

All orders placed before 16 h on a working day are dispatched the same day, with delivery generally within 24 to 48 hours in mainland France. At checkout, you can choose delivery to a pick-up point, home delivery, express delivery before 13 h, or collection from the shop in Sarcelles. The estimated delivery date is shown on each product page, and tracking details are emailed to you as soon as your order is dispatched.
