View the range →Covim is a contemporary Genoese roastery with deep historical roots. The current company was born in 1991 from the merger of two rival Genoese houses: Coveca, founded in 1969 by Osvaldo Picci with Adone Macoggi and Paolo Guglielmoni, and Compagnia Mediterranea Caffè, founded in 1974 by Federico Solari — a descendant of the Federico Solari who launched the Società Internazionale per la Torrefazione Igienica del Caffè in Genoa at the beginning of the 20th century.
The sales and administrative headquarters are in Genoa (Via G. Adamoli 241), and the main production site is located in Tribogna (province of Genoa, Liguria), covering nearly 9,000 m². A family-owned business with five shareholder families, Covim has established itself as the Italian leader in portioned and vending coffee, with a strong presence in the HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, cafés) and supermarket sectors. Approximately 30% of its revenue is generated from exports, with a growing presence in France, Germany, Spain, and other European HoReCa markets.
Each Covim blend reflects the Ligurian and Italian espresso tradition : controlled roasting to preserve aromas, rigorous quality control, and adjustment of parameters according to the origin and season of the green coffee. Covim's philosophy: "coffee is a living fruit" — the company adjusts its roasting and grinding parameters according to the harvests to maintain consistent quality over time. The signature range of whole bean coffee is available in four blends (Granbar, Orocrema, Prestige, Giada) offered in 1 kg home packs and a 6 x 1 kg professional pack for Ho.Re.Ca.

The 4 most ordered Covim products by our customers — Genoa signature coffee beans.
The Covim brand has existed since 1991 , born from the merger of two Genoese roasters: Coveca (founded in 1969 by Osvaldo Picci) and Compagnia Mediterranea Caffè (founded in 1974 by Federico Solari, descendant of Federico Solari who launched the Società Internazionale per la Torrefazione Igienica del Caffè in Genoa at the beginning of the 20th century).
The company's historical roots therefore go back to the beginning of the 20th century with the Solari family — but the Covim itself is more than 30 years old in 2026.
Covim coffee is roasted in Italy, at the main production site in Tribogna, located in the province of Genoa (Liguria), covering nearly 9,000 m². The commercial and administrative headquarters are in Genoa (Via G. Adamoli 241).
Green coffee is sourced from the main producing countries (Brazil, Colombia, Vietnam, India, Uganda, etc.) depending on the blend. Each blend is roasted separately according to a specific roasting profile, then blended to preserve the aromatic authenticity of each origin.
