Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Lavazza Crema e Aroma Expert and Lavazza Super Crema?
These are Lavazza's two creamy , with slightly different profiles:
- Crema e Aroma Expert — intensity 8/10 , the more robust of the two: a multi-origin Arabica-Robusta blend with a generous body and notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, and dried fruit . The versatile and absolute best-selling Cafemalin across all categories. blend
- Super Crema — intensity 7/10 , a slightly more Arabica-dominant blend , rounder and honeyed , with an even denser crema. Often chosen by enthusiasts of high-end bean-to-cup machines (Jura, De'Longhi Prima Donna).
Our advice: Crema e Aroma Expert for versatile daily use (home, office), Super Crema for pure espresso tasting.
How many cups can I make with a 1kg bag of Lavazza Crema e Aroma Expert?
The yield depends on the dosage per cup :
- Strong espresso (7 g/cup) : ~143 cups per kilo.
- Standard espresso (9 g/cup) : ~111 cups per kilo.
- Long coffee / lungo (10 g/cup) : ~100 cups per kilo.
- Filter coffee maker (60 g / L, i.e. 12 g for 200 mL) : ~83 cups per kilo.
For typical household of 4 cups per day, a 1 kg bag lasts between 3 and 5 weeks. For an office with more than 10 people or for Ho.Re.Ca. use, consider the 3 kg pack, the 6 kg pack , or the professional packs of 12 kg, 18 kg , and 30 kg.
Is the Lavazza Crema e Aroma Expert compatible with my automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine?
Yes, this blend is perfectly suited to automatic bean-to-cup machines (with integrated grinder) — in fact, that's its primary intended use. Tested and approved by our customers on the following models:
- De'Longhi — Magnifica S/Evo, Dinamica, Eletta Explore, Prima Donna, Rivelia
- Jura — E range (E4, E6, E8), S8, Z10, ENA 4/8, GIGA 6/10
- Philips — LatteGo 2200 → 5500, 3200, 4400
- Melitta — Caffeo Solo, Barista TS Smart, LatteSelect
- Krups — Evidence, Intuition Preference
- Saeco / Siemens — EQ, Xelsis, Xsmall ranges
Recommended setting : medium grind selector (5/10), dose 9-11 g, extraction ~30 s per 40 mL. The crema is dense and persistent thanks to the Robusta content of the blend.
How can I store my Lavazza Crema e Aroma Expert coffee beans to preserve the aromas?
Whole bean coffee is more stable than ground coffee, but remains sensitive to air, humidity, and light. Best practices:
- The bag is hermetically sealed after each use (the Lavazza one-way valve lets CO₂ escape without letting oxygen in).
- Ideal: transfer to an opaque, airtight jar at room temperature (18-22 °C).
- NO refrigerator (humidity + odor absorption) or freezer (condensation).
- Keep away from light and heat sources.
A sealed 1 kg bag can be stored until the indicated best before date (generally 18-24 months from roasting). Once opened, ideally consume within 4 to 6 weeks for optimal flavor.
Why is this blend the best-selling coffee at Cafemalin ?
Crema e Aroma Expert is the site's best-selling product, with a recurring repurchase rate. Three reasons:
- A consensual profile — intensity 8/10, full-bodied without aggressiveness, chocolatey notes appreciated by the majority of consumers.
- A proven value for money — the authentic Italian Lavazza blend in 1 kg format, and more economical packs of 3 to 30 sachets for volume households and professionals.
- Versatility of methods — works equally well as an automatic bean-to-cup machine, a manual espresso machine, a moka pot, or a filter coffee maker.
This is the default choice we recommend to any new customer who is hesitating between Lavazza blends.
Where is Crema e Aroma Expert roasted?
Lavazza Crema e Aroma Expert is roasted in Lavazza's factories in Italy. Lavazza has historically operated its industrial site in Settimo Torinese (province of Turin, Piedmont), one of the largest roasting facilities in Europe. A second factory in Gattinara (Piedmont) complements the Italian production. For the French market, the roasting of Crema e Aroma Expert is Italian.

3/5Disappointed by this coffee. Lavazza advertised it as strong and intense, but it was actually weak and tasteless. I won't buy it again.
