Super Crema is one of Lavazza's best-known whole bean coffees. The company describes it as a full-bodied and pronounced, with a medium body and rich crema, featuring notes of roasted hazelnut and brown sugar. It blends Arabica and Robusta from South America and Asia (60% Arabica according to Lavazza's technical specifications), with a medium. In the cup: a smooth and honeyed espresso, milder than Gran Espresso, and more full-bodied than Gold Selection.

What is the difference between Super Crema and Crema e Aroma Expert?
Two Lavazza coffee beans, Arabica and Robusta, with different profiles :
- Super Crema — Arabica and Robusta from South America and Asia, notes of honey and hazelnut, pronounced profile and medium body. The rounder and honeyed of the two.
- Crema e Aroma Expert — Arabica and Robusta from Africa and the Americas, dark chocolate and spice, rich and balanced taste. The more full-bodied of the two, and our best-seller.
Our advice: Super Crema for a round and smooth espresso, Crema e Aroma Expert for a more full-bodied espresso, for everyday use.
Is Super Crema suitable for automatic bean-to-cup machines?
Yes. Lavazza designs it for espresso machines, and it can also be used in automatic bean-to-cup machines (Jura, De'Longhi, Philips, Melitta, Krups, etc.) as well as portafilters. Starting settings:
- A medium-fine grind, to be adjusted one notch depending on the flow.
- A dose of 8 to 10 g per cup.
- An extraction lasting 25 to 30 seconds.
How many cups can I make with a 1kg bag of Super Crema?
Yield depending on dosage:
- Strong espresso (7 g/cup) : ~143 cups per kilo.
- Standard espresso (9 g/cup) : ~111 cups per kilo.
- Long coffee (10 g/cup) : ~100 cups per kilo.
- Filter coffee maker (12 g/cup) : ~83 cups per kilo.
Home (4 cups/day): 3-5 weeks. Office (15 people, 2 coffees/person): ~5 days.
Is Super Crema available in a larger size?
