Taste Profile
Lavazza Crema Classica is a professional Ho.Re.Ca designed for bars, restaurants, and offices that want the signature Lavazza coffee without the overly strong character of Gran Espresso (10/10) or the more delicate finesse of Aroma Top (6/10, fine floral). It features a balanced Arabica-Robusta, a classic Italian medium roast in the Turin style, calibrated to deliver a dense and long-lasting crema in a professional environment. In the cup: a full, a persistent hazelnut-colored crema, and signature notes of milk chocolate, dried fruit (hazelnut, almond), and toasted cereals. The balanced Italian bar blend —a crowd-pleaser that satisfies most tastes, without any harshness or surprises. The default choice for an establishment that wants Lavazza but is unsure which strength to choose.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Crema Classica and Crema e Aroma?
Both are Lavazza "cream" blends with distinct positioning:
- Crema Classica (this product) — Ho.Re.Ca pro balanced, intensity 6/10, target bar/restaurant/office, dense cream.
- Crema e Aroma — premium home milder, intensity 7/10, target amateur home, rounder.
- Super Crema — premium honeyed blend, 60% Arabica, even denser crema.
Choose Crema Classica for regular professional/office use , Crema e Aroma for amateur home use .
Is the 3kg pack size available?
Yes — see the Lavazza Crema Classica 3 kg pack (#1502), composed of three 1 kg individual sachets — the savings compared to buying three sachets separately are shown on the pack's information page. Ideal for a medium-sized office (15-30 people) or small restaurant. For more intensive use, consider the Lavazza 20-30 kg professional packs.
How many cups can I make with 1 kg of Crema Classica?
Estimated yield:
- Strong espresso (7g) : ~143 cups.
- Standard espresso (9 g) : ~111 cups.
- Filter coffee maker (60 g / L) : ~83 cups of 200 mL.
Bar (100 espressos/day): ~1.5 days per kilo. Office (20 cups/day): ~1 week per kilo. Home (4 cups/day): ~4-5 weeks per kilo.
Is the Crema Classica compatible with my bean-to-cup coffee machine?
Yes, all brands : De'Longhi (Magnifica, Dinamica, Eletta), Jura (E, S, Z, GIGA), Philips (LatteGo, 2200-5500), Melitta (Caffeo, Barista), Krups (Evidence, Intuition), Saeco, Siemens (EQ series). Recommended settings: medium grind 5/10, dose 9-10 g, temperature 92°C, extraction 25-30 s. The calibrated Robusta blend works well with machines that don't have pre-infusion and produces a very dense, hazelnut-colored crema.
How to store the 1kg bag to preserve the aroma?
Whole bean coffee is more stable than ground coffee, but remains sensitive to air, humidity, and light. After opening, carefully reseal the Lavazza bag (zip closure) or transfer the beans to an airtight, opaque container. Store at room temperature (18-22°C), away from light and heat sources. Avoid the refrigerator (humidity and odor absorption). A sealed 1 kg bag can be stored until the best before date (18-24 months). Once opened, ideally consume within 3-4 weeks.
What grind should I choose depending on my extraction method?
The grind must be adapted to the method:
- Espresso / grinder machine : fine grind (fine sand texture), extraction 25-30 s for 30 mL.
- Italian moka coffee maker : medium-fine grind (beach sand texture), gentle heat 3-4 min.
- Filter coffee maker / V60 : medium grind , ratio 60 g / L.
- French Press : coarse (semolina texture), infusion 4 min.
