Taste Profile
Lavazza Pronto Crema — Pronto means "ready" in Italian. This Ho.Re.Ca blend has been specifically calibrated by Lavazza to produce a dense and long-lasting crema from the very first seconds of extraction — a crucial advantage in high-frequency professional environments (bars, restaurants, cafeterias, vending machines). It's an Arabica-Robusta with Robusta beans carefully selected for their creamy oils, roasted to a medium-dark Italian style in Turin. In the cup: a full and rich, a very dense, hazelnut-colored that lasts for over 90 seconds, and signature notes of cocoa, roasted hazelnut , and toasted cereals. The Lavazza professional crema — designed for fast service without compromising on cup quality.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why the name "Pronto Crema"?
Pronto means "ready" in Italian. Lavazza named this blend after its ability to produce a dense crema within seconds of extraction, a major advantage in professional settings (bars, restaurants, vending machines) where speed of service is crucial. Unlike some 100% Arabica blends where the crema can take several seconds to form (or may not be very dense at all), Pronto Crema develops an "instant" hazelnut-colored crema that lasts for over 90 seconds.
What is the difference with Crema Classica?
The two Lavazza Ho.Re.Ca blends with distinct positioning:
- Pronto Crema (this product) — intensity 7/10, more robust, calibrated fast vending/high-volume bar cream.
- Crema Classica — intensity 6/10, more balanced, target office/relaxed restaurant.
Pronto Crema choice for a high-volume bar, Crema Classica for a more relaxed office.
How many cups can I make with 1 kg of Pronto Crema?
Estimated yield:
- Strong espresso (7g) : ~143 cups.
- Standard espresso (9 g) : ~111 cups.
- Filter coffee maker (60 g / L) : ~83 cups of 200 mL.
Bar (100 espressos/day): ~1.5 days per kilo. Vending (50 cups/day): ~3 days per kilo. Restaurant (30 cups/day): ~5 days per kilo.
Is the Pronto Crema compatible with my bean-to-cup machine?
Yes, all brands : De'Longhi, Jura, Philips, Melitta, Krups, Saeco, Siemens. Especially recommended for office coffee vending machinesand professional bean-to-cup machines (bars, coworking spaces, business centers) where its ability to quickly develop crema is a real advantage. Recommended settings: medium-fine grind 4-5/10, dose 9-10 g, temperature 92°C, extraction 20-25 seconds (faster than average).
Is there a pack size for heavy-duty use?
Yes — see the Lavazza Pronto Crema 3 kg pack (#31614), composed of three individual 1 kg sachets — the savings compared to buying three sachets separately are shown on the pack's product page. Ideal for medium-sized offices, vending machines, and small restaurants. For even higher consumption, consider the Lavazza Pro 20-30 kg packs.
How should I store the 1 kg bag after opening?
Carefully reseal the Lavazza bag (zip closure) or transfer the beans to an airtight, opaque container at room temperature (18-22°C), away from light and heat sources. Avoid the refrigerator (humidity and odor absorption). Best before date (sealed bag): 18-24 months. Once opened, ideally consume within 3-4 weeks. In a high-volume professional environment, this timeframe is not a problem (rapid stock turnover).
