According to Lavazza, Crema e Aroma Gran Espresso is a grand cru blend of Arabica and Robusta from Africa, Central and South America. What is the difference between Crema e Aroma ‘Espresso Point’ and ‘Gran Espresso Point’?
These are two different coffees in the Espresso Point range, both made with Arabica and Robusta:
- Crema e Aroma Gran Espresso (this product) — a strong espresso with a sweet, lingering aftertaste and notes of dark chocolate.
- Crema e Aroma — a strong espresso, bold yet smooth, with a full body and notes of toasted cereals and chocolate; Lavazza specifies that its grind is also suitable for a lungo.

What is the Lavazza Espresso Point system?
The Espresso Point system is Lavazza's first capsule system, designed for the office. It originated with the acquisition, in 1989, of Uno Per, a company that made single-serve coffee machines: Lavazza then became the first Italian company to invest in capsules. The Blue system followed (2003), also for the office, then A Modo Mio (2007), for the home. An Espresso Point capsule only works in an Espresso Point machine.
Which machines take Espresso Point capsules?
Lavazza Espresso Point machines, such as the EP Mini, the compact office machine we offer. These capsules are not suitable for A Modo Mio, Lavazza Blue, Nespresso® or Dolce Gusto® machines: each system has its own capsule.
How many coffees can you make with a box of 100 capsules?
100 coffees: one capsule per cup. For example, at 10 coffees a day, a box lasts 10 days. For a break room, the Lavazza Point kits include 300, 600 or 1 000 capsules and accessories.
How should I store the capsules and what should I do with them after use?
The best-before date is printed on each box. Keep the capsules away from heat, light and moisture. After use, sort them according to your local council's waste guidelines.
