Depends on the type of machine :

What is the difference between ground Delta Gold and Delta Gold granules?

Same blend — but two formats for two uses:

  • Delta Gold Ground Coffee 250g — ideal for Italian coffee makers, electric filters, and espresso machines. No grinder required. Consume within 2-3 weeks of opening to preserve aroma.
  • Delta Gold grains (250g → 10kg formats, see Delta grains cat) — maximum freshness (ground just before extraction), precise grind calibration, best crema in espresso grinder machine.

How to prepare a Delta Gold coffee in a Bialetti moka pot?

Optimal preparation in an Italian coffee maker (moka pot) :

  1. Fill the water tank (lower chamber) up to the safety valve.
  2. To measure the Delta ground coffee in the filter holder: fill without tamping (~7-15 g depending on 3/6 cup moka pot)
  3. Screw the upper compartment firmly onto the tank
  4. Place over low heat — never high heat (it will burn the coffee). Brew for approximately 2-3 minutes until the characteristic "glug-glug" sound is reached.
  5. Remove from heat immediately as soon as the gurgling begins to subside.
  6. Serve immediately to preserve the crema and aromas.

How to store Delta ground coffee?

Optimal preservation of ground coffee:

  • Before opening : tightly sealed bag, shelf life ~18 months when stored away from heat and light (dry cupboard)
  • After opening : reseal tightly (using the zip clip on the bag or an airtight container), and consume within 2-3 weeks to preserve the aromas.
  • Ideal : opaque airtight container, dry cupboard, room temperature 18-22°C
