Delta Q Double Shot — 10 capsules

A Double Shot contains more ground coffee than a standard Delta Q capsule —apparently about twice as much (Delta Q has not publicly disclosed the exact weight, but the name and product positioning are self-explanatory). The objective:

• Making a double espresso (doppio) — a concentrated Italian-style shot, in a single extraction, without having to use 2 standard capsules.
• Making a lungo or long coffee that retains its intensity — the double dose compensates for the dilution, resulting in a long coffee without any perceptible loss of aroma.

Yes, absolutely —it's even one of the recommended uses. A short shot (~30-40 mL) on your Delta Q machine makes a full-bodied, Italian-style double espresso (doppio). The double dose of concentrated coffee delivers:

• A very ample , almost velvety body
• A very rich and dense cream.
• Pronounced roasted notes .

Advantage vs. 2 standard capsules extracted successively : a single extraction = optimized water-coffee contact time, more concentrated aromas than combining two separate extractions. Also ideal for a short ristretto (intentional extraction ~20 seconds for maximum concentration).

Exactly 10 drinks — each Double Shot pod = 1 drink (double espresso, intense lungo, or full-bodied cappuccino). Estimated battery life:

• Household 1 double espresso/day — ~10 days, or 1.5 weeks.
• Focus 1 intense lungo/day + 1 standard coffee — ~10-14 days.
• Occasional weekend use (gourmet coffee) — ~3-4 weeks.

Delta Q plastic capsules are very stable : each capsule hermetically seals the ground coffee (no contact with air or moisture). Good storage practices:

• Room temperature (15-25 °C) — not refrigerated (potential humidity on opened capsules).
• Protected from direct light (sunlight, powerful fluorescent lights).
• Box of 10, kept sealed until opened. Once opened, an opened box should ideally be consumed within 2-3 weeks for optimal flavor.

Suggested best before date: ~18 months from roasting (date on packaging). Doubling the coffee dose does not affect shelf life, only the quantity per capsule.

All Delta Q machines accept these capsules — it's a unified proprietary system since 2007; the external capsule format is identical (only the internal weight varies). Main compatible machines:

• Delta Q Qool Evolution, Naya, Iconiq, Qosmo, Milk-Q, Qlip, Qonic — all compatible.
