Delta Q Qharacter N°9 is a blend that Delta Cafés describes as full-bodied and sophisticated. Qharacter combines coffees from Brazil, Ivory Coast and Colombia, roasted in Campo Maior, Portugal. In the cup, an intensely flavoured espresso with a lingering aroma, notes of caramel and dried fruit, and balanced acidity.
On the Delta Q intensity scale, which currently goes up to 16, it is rated 9, between Aqtivus N°8 and Qalidus N°10. It is one of the most frequently ordered Delta Q coffees at Cafemalin.

Qharacter N°9 is rated 9 on the Delta Q intensity scale, which currently goes up to 16 with Uniq. For Delta Q, intensity means the strength of the coffee's flavour, which depends on the amount of ground coffee, the roast level and the type of beans: the higher the number, the stronger the espresso.

Where does the coffee in Delta Q Qharacter come from?
Qharacter N°9 combines coffees from Brazil, Ivory Coast and Colombia. Like the coffee in all Delta Q capsules, it is roasted in Portugal by Delta Cafés, in Campo Maior, where the green coffees are tasted every day before being roasted and blended.
Qharacter N°9 or Qalidus N°10: which should you choose?
Qharacter N°9 (intensity 9) is full-bodied and sophisticated: notes of caramel and dried fruit, with a lingering aroma. Qalidus N°10 (intensity 10) is intense and ambitious: full-bodied, with notes of caramel and light acidity.
For a stronger espresso, choose Qalidus N°10; for a full-bodied, sophisticated profile, stay with Qharacter N°9.
Are Delta Q Qharacter capsules compatible with Nespresso?
No. Delta Q capsules use a format specific to the brand: they only work in Delta Q machines, such as the Mini Qool or ICONIQ, and do not fit Nespresso, Dolce Gusto or Lavazza machines. Likewise, a Delta Q machine only accepts Delta Q format capsules.
How many coffees can you make with 40 capsules?
One capsule makes one coffee: 40 coffees, as 30 ml espressos or 45 ml lungos, the two volumes specified by Delta Q. At two coffees a day, the pack lasts around twenty days. Qharacter N°9 is also available in a box of 10 and a pack of 100 capsules (10 boxes of 10).
How do you recycle Delta Q capsules?
A Delta Q capsule combines a plastic body with an aluminium lid; according to Delta Q, it can be recycled by separating the plastic, aluminium and coffee grounds. In France, the instructions depend on your local authority: check Citeo’s Guide du tri (website or app). The grounds can be composted.
