Taste Profile
Kimbo Prestige is the milder and more accessible version of the Kimbo (a Neapolitan roaster founded in 1963 by the Rubino brothers). Unlike the full-bodied blends that have made Neapolitan coffee famous, Prestige relies on a composition of 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta — the Arabica beans (South America) bring finesse and aroma, while the small proportion of Robusta (Asia) is enough to ensure body and crema without excessive bitterness.
In the cup : a balanced and well-rounded espresso with a dense , hazelnut-colored crema , signature notes of caramel, biscuits, light chocolate , and a hazelnut finish. Moderate body, restrained bitterness (4/10), fine acidity, and a pronounced natural sweetness thanks to the high proportion of Arabica. A very versatile blend : excellent as an espresso, but also very pleasant as filter coffee, cappuccino, and latte—perfect for everyday use.
The 3 kg pack is the ideal intermediate size between the single-pack (trial/discovery) and the XL 6 kg pack (for intensive HoReCa use). It is sized for: small offices with 5-15 employees (supply of approximately 3-4 weeks), homes where Italian espresso enthusiasts consume regularly (supply of approximately 2-3 months for average household use), and light catering/neighborhood bistros. A smaller Prestige 1 kg single- for introductory use, or a Prestige 6 x 1 kg for medium-intensive office use.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will this pack be available again?
This item is currently unavailable for order. Please leave your email address in the "Notify me" on this page: you will be notified as soon as it is back in stock.
Meanwhile, in the same spirit at Cafemalin : Prestige 1 kg unit, Armonico 3 × 1 kg (balanced cousin blend 70/30), Delta Gold 500 g (mild Portuguese blend equivalent in intensity).
Why choose the 3 kg format rather than 1 kg or 6 kg?
The 3 kg format is the ideal compromise between:
- 1 kg unit — perfect for discovering the Prestige blend, but limited yield (~143 cups) and less advantageous price per kilo.
- 3 × 1 kg (this pack) — small office / intensive homeuse, autonomy ~3-4 weeks office use, ~2-3 months home use, volume savings, 3 individually sealed bags to preserve freshness.
- 6 × 1 kg — Ho.Re.Ca. / medium intensive office, best price per kilo but requires regular consumption to avoid exceeding the best before date.
The 3kg size is the default choice if you consume regularly but not in very large volumes.
Is Kimbo Prestige suitable for small bean-to-cup household machines?
Yes, absolutely. The Prestige blend is very forgiving of machine settings and performs well on all ranges of automatic bean-to-cup machines : Philips (LatteGo, 2200-5500), De'Longhi (Magnifica, Dinamica, Eletta), Jura (E, S, Z, ENA, GIGA), Melitta (Caffeo, Barista), Krups (Evidence, Intuition), Saeco, and Siemens EQ. Set the grind selector to medium (5-6/10) and the dose to 7-9g for a balanced, strong espresso. The high Arabica content (80%) makes Prestige tolerant of minor variations —ideal for home use without barista adjustments.
Difference Prestige vs Extra Cream vs Cremoso vs Armonico?
The Kimbo range of whole bean coffee is available in different intensity and aromatic profiles :
- Prestige (this blend) — intensity 5-6/10, 80/20 Arabica-Robusta, medium roast, smooth and approachable, caramel/biscuits/hazelnut.
- Armonico — intensity 7/10, 70/30 Arabica-Robusta, balanced fruit/caramel/cane sugar, positioned vending/office.
- Cremoso — intensity 8/10, 50/50 Arabica-Robusta, smooth chocolate/hazelnut crema.
- Extra Cream — intensity 8/10, 40/60 Arabica-Robusta, dark roast intense chocolate/cinnamon/pepper.
Prestige = default choice for a first Kimbo purchase or for those who find Extra Cream too strong.
How many cups can you get from a Prestige 3 x 1 kg pack?
The yield depends on the dosage per cup and the method:
- Strong espresso (7 g/cup) : ~428 espressos per pack.
- Standard espresso (9 g/cup) : ~333 cups.
- Filter coffee maker (60 g / L) : ~250 cups of 200 mL.
- Italian Moka : ~200 cups of 100 mL.
For small office use (20 cups/day) , a 3kg pack lasts approximately 3 weeks . For home use (4 cups/day) , the supply lasts approximately 3-4 months .
How to store opened and closed bags?
Each 1 kg bag of Kimbo Prestige is sealed in a protected atmosphere (nitrogen) and equipped with a degassing valve. As long as a bag remains unopened, it will keep until the indicated best before date (generally 12-18 months from roasting), at room temperature 18-22°C, away from light and heat or humidity sources. Once opened : reseal the bag carefully with the Kimbo heat-sealable strip or transfer the contents to an airtight, opaque container. Ideally, consume within 3 to 4 weeks for optimal flavor. Absolutely avoid refrigeration (humidity + odor absorption).
