Taste Profile
Kimbo Prestige is the milder and more accessible version of the Kimbo (a Neapolitan roaster founded in 1963 by the Rubino brothers). Unlike the full-bodied blends that have made Neapolitan coffee famous, Prestige relies on a composition of 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta — the Arabica beans (South America) bring finesse and aroma, while the small proportion of Robusta (Asia) is enough to ensure body and crema without excessive bitterness.
In the cup : a balanced and well-rounded espresso with a dense , hazelnut-colored crema , signature notes of caramel, biscuits, light chocolate , and a hazelnut finish. Moderate body, restrained bitterness (4/10), fine acidity, and a pronounced natural sweetness thanks to the high proportion of Arabica. A very versatile blend : excellent as an espresso, but also very pleasant as filter coffee, cappuccino, and latte—perfect for everyday use.
The XL 6kg pack is ideal for a medium-sized office with 15-30 employees (4-6 weeks supply at 30-50 cups/day), a small restaurant/café, or a home-based Italian espresso enthusiast looking to save on packaging while preserving freshness (6 individually sealed 1kg bags). A smaller Prestige 3 x 1kg for smaller offices, or Prestige 1kg pack single for those new to coffee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Kimbo Prestige less full-bodied than other Neapolitan blends?
Kimbo Prestige is intentionally positioned as the milder option in the Kimbo range—its 80% Arabica / 20% Robusta is atypical for the Neapolitan style (usually 40-50% Robusta in full-bodied blends like Extra Cream or Espresso Napoletano). The high proportion of Arabica brings finesse, sweetness, and complex aromas (caramel, biscuits, hazelnut), while the small amount of Robusta provides enough body and crema without excessive bitterness. It's the accessible and versatile designed for a wider audience than just Neapolitan coffee purists—offices, casual dining, and homes.
Who is this 6 x 1 kg pack intended for?
The XL 6kg pack is calibrated for average office/moderate hospitality/intensive home use :
- Average office 15-30 employees — consumption 30-50 cups/day, autonomy 4-6 weeks.
- Light dining / neighborhood bistro — 30-60 cups/day, target mild and accessible after-meal coffee.
- Intensive office break room — 30+ people, shared professional bean machine.
- Italian espresso hobby stove — battery life ~4-6 months with regular use of 4-6 cups/day.
For lighter use, the 3 x 1 kg pack or the 1 kg single bag.
Why 6 bags of 1 kg rather than one large 6 kg bag?
It's a choice of fresh, high-quality ingredients :
- Coffee aromas degrade when exposed to air (oxidation, loss of volatile essential oils). An opened 6 kg bag loses approximately 30% of its aromas in 4-6 weeks.
- In 6 sealed 1 kg bags with a degassing valve, each bag remains fresh until opened. The opened bag will be consumed within 1-3 weeks (average office use) while the 5 remaining sealed bags stay fresh.
- Consistency and regularity of cup : each new bag gives a coffee with an identical, as opposed to a progressive drift with a single bag that has lost its aroma.
This is the pro quality standard for XL packs — the same approach as Delta, Lavazza and Bristot on their 3-12 kg packs.
Difference Prestige vs Extra Cream vs Cremoso vs Armonico?
The Kimbo range of whole bean coffee is available in different intensity and aromatic profiles :
- Prestige (this blend) — intensity 5-6/10, 80/20 Arabica-Robusta, medium roast, smooth and approachable, caramel/biscuits/hazelnut.
- Armonico — intensity 7/10, 70/30 Arabica-Robusta, balanced fruit/caramel/cane sugar.
- Cremoso — intensity 8/10, 50/50 Arabica-Robusta, smooth chocolate/hazelnut crema.
- Extra Cream — intensity 8/10, 40/60 Arabica-Robusta, dark roast intense chocolate/cinnamon/pepper.
Prestige = default choice for a first Kimbo purchase, or for those who find Extra Cream too strong.
How many cups can you get from a Prestige 6 x 1 kg pack?
The yield depends on the dosage per cup and the method:
- Strong espresso (7 g/cup) : ~857 espressos per pack.
- Standard espresso (9 g/cup) : ~666 cups.
- Filter coffee maker (60 g / L, 12 g for 200 mL) : ~500 cups.
- Italian Moka : ~400 cups of 100 mL (Bialetti 6 cups = ~50 g).
For average office use (40 cups/day), a 6kg pack lasts approximately 3-4 weeks. For lighter home use (4 cups/day), the supply lasts approximately 4-6 months.
When will this pack be available again?

Immediate alternatives at Cafemalin : Prestige 1 kg (if in stock), Armonico 3 x 1 kg (balanced 70/30 blend), or Delta Gold Pilot 500 g (mild Portuguese blend of equivalent intensity).
