Kimbo Bio is the organic, fair trade blend from the Neapolitan company founded in 1963 by the Rubino brothers: 90% washed Arabica from Nicaragua and Peru, 10% naturally processed Robusta from India, all certified organic and Fairtrade. The medium-light roast preserves the floral notes, a distinct almond flavour and sweet spices; the small proportion of Robusta provides the crema. Intensity 5/10: the most delicate Kimbo coffee in the catalogue, enjoyed as an espresso or a lungo.
The 6 kg pack is the product's large pack format, designed for regular, high-volume consumption: a medium-sized office, a restaurant or hotel offering organic coffee on its menu, or an institution committed to responsible purchasing. Six individually sealed 1 kg bags: open one bag at a time while the other five remain airtight — a light-roasted, Arabica-led blend is more sensitive to air exposure than a full-bodied blend.

Who is the Kimbo Bio 6 × 1 kg pack for?
Any organisation serving coffee every day that wants an organic, fair trade product: an office with 15 to 40 people, a restaurant or hotel listing certified coffee on its menu, an institution or association committed to responsible purchasing, or a coffee corner. The pack lasts approximately one month at 30 cups a day. For lower consumption, the 3 × 1 kg pack avoids keeping bags open for too long.
Why six 1 kg bags rather than one 6 kg bag?
For freshness. A medium-light-roasted, Arabica-led blend loses its floral notes a few weeks after opening; with six 1 kg bags sealed in a protective atmosphere, you expose only one kilo at a time to the air, while the other five remain airtight until the date printed on each bag. It is also more practical: one bag per machine, one per site, or a buffer stock in reserve. Each bag is the original Kimbo Bio 1 kg (EAN 8002200140540); nothing is repacked.
How many cups does a 6 kg pack make?
Depending on the dose and brewing method:
- Espresso using 7 g: around 860 cups per pack.
- Espresso from a bean-to-cup machine, 9 to 10 g: 600 to 670 cups.
- Filter coffee using 60 g per litre: around 500 cups of 20 cl.
An office serving thirty cups a day will use the pack in about a month; a restaurant serving sixty cups a day, in two weeks.
What do this pack’s organic and Fairtrade certifications guarantee?
Organic farming (European regulation): cultivation without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, independent annual inspections, and traceability from plantation to roasting. Fairtrade: beans purchased from cooperatives in Nicaragua, Peru and India at a guaranteed minimum price, with a premium invested in community projects. Both certifications cover the entire blend, Arabica and Robusta alike — a selling point to highlight on your menu or in your responsible purchasing policy.
Is the 6 × 1 kg pack available for other Kimbo coffees?
