Taste Profile
Kimbo Extra Cream blends Arabica and Robusta beans fromSouth America and Asia, predominantly Robusta (65% Robusta on the Kimbo UK product sheet, 60% on the Kimbo Argentina product sheet), with a medium roast.
In the cup : a full and creamy texture, an intense aroma and a pronounced taste, with sweet and tangy notes according to Kimbo; distributors of the same blend detect pepper and licorice. Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Kimbo Extra Cream 6 kg pack contain?
Six 1kg bags of Kimbo Extra Cream whole bean coffee, identical to the individual bag : this is the carton in which Kimbo delivers this coffee to bars and restaurants. Only one bag is opened at a time; the other five remain sealed.
What does Kimbo Extra Cream coffee beans taste like?
A pronounced taste and intense aroma, according to Kimbo, with a full, creamy texture and sweet-tart notes; distributors of the same bag detect pepper and licorice . It's a Robusta-dominant blend , medium to full-bodied, more pronounced than the Prestige .
How many cups can you get from the 6kg pack?
Approximately 860 espressos at 7g, 600 to 670 at 9 or 10g, and 330 to 430 double espressos using a portafilter (14 to 18g). An office serving thirty espressos a day will consume it in about a month.
6 kg pack or 3 kg pack?
The 6-bag pack is ideal for heavy consumption: an office, a restaurant, or the home of serious espresso lovers. For more moderate consumption, the 3-bag pack prevents coffee from being stored for too long; to discover this coffee, try the 1 kg bag.
Is Kimbo Extra Cream suitable for cappuccino?
Yes : its body and crema hold their own against milk. Kimbo's product page in Argentina recommends it for everything from espresso to cappuccino and latte macchiato. For a cappuccino, prepare 25 to 30 ml of espresso and top with frothed milk.
How should the sachets be stored?
Keep the bags sealed, away from heat and light, until the date printed on each one. Once opened, carefully reseal the bag, expelling any excess air, or transfer the grains to an opaque, airtight container. Avoid the refrigerator: humidity and odors will damage the grains.
