Kimbo Espresso Mix is Kimbo 's historic Neapolitan blend — the classic expression of Southern Italian espresso , full-bodied and rich. A traditional blend predominantly Arabica (South American) with African Robusta for crema and strength, roasted medium to dark in the Neapolitan style . Kimbo is the No. 1 roaster in Naples and the second largest Italian roaster after Lavazza.
In the cup : a full-bodied and powerful espresso , a very dense, dark hazelnut-colored crema , and signature notes of bitter cocoa, sweet spices, and roasted, woody aromas . A generous body (8/10), pronounced bitterness, and well-integrated acidity—the hallmark of traditional Neapolitan espresso . The blend that inspires the entire Neapolitan school of coffee.
6 kg pack : yields ~857 espressos, ideal for small cafes (20-40 espressos/day), medium-sized offices (20-40 employees), and restaurants (10-30 coffees/day). Optimal size , not too bulky (no pallet restrictions).

Meanwhile, in the same vein at Cafemalin : Espresso Mix 3×1 kg (same blend, smaller format).
What's in the pack?
Pack of 6 x 1kg bags of Kimbo Espresso Mix whole bean coffee, all identical (same blend). Delivered in a standard grouping carton (no pallet required) — flexible for any type of establishment. Each bag is hermetically sealed in an inert atmosphere to preserve freshness until opened.
Who is this 6 kg format intended for?
Ideal target 6 kg :
- Neighborhood cafe-bar — 20-40 espressos/day.
- Office space for 20-40 employees — professional grain machine.
- Small restaurant format — coffees at the end of meals (10-30/day).
- Seminar room, coworking space — regular rotating stock.
For smaller volumes, choose Espresso Mix 3x1 kg (home/small office). For larger volumes, see the Delta Gold 10 kg packs or Kimbo large ranges.
Recommended for cappuccino/latte?
Excellent — the full-bodied Espresso Mix blends perfectly with heated milk and froths beautifully. The bitter cocoa and roasted notes remain perceptible even in a cappuccino, unlike a mild 100% Arabica blend which disappears in the milk. Ideal size for indulgent Italian-style milk-based drinks (cappuccino, macchiato, latte macchiato).
Difference with the Espresso Mix 3×1 kg pack?
Format only (same blend):
- Espresso Mix 3×1 kg — home / small office (5-15 people), autonomy ~1-2 months.
- Espresso Mix 6×1 kg (this ref.) — medium office / small hospitality, autonomy ~1-2 months for this higher traffic.
The savings for each format compared to individually purchased sachets are displayed on its product page.
What is the Neapolitan school of coffee?
TheNeapolitan school is a style of roasting coffee from southern Italy, characterized by:
- Darker roast than northern Italy (Piedmontese/Venetian school).
- Arabica-Robusta blend with a more pronounced Robusta presence for the cream and body.
- Traditional strong espresso (7-8 g for 25 mL in 25 s).
- Taste notes : bitter cocoa, intense roasted notes, very dense crema.
Kimbo has been the historical representative of the Neapolitan school since 1963. Venetian school alternative: Bristot pack 3 blends 6 kg.
