illy Iperespresso Classico — 90 capsules

Only compatible with illy Iperespresso machines : illy specifies that its Iperespresso capsules only work with its Iperespresso machines. In its current range, these are the X7.1 , the Y3.3 , and the X1 Anniversary ECO Mode , in its Iperespresso version (the X1 Anniversary for ESE pods and ground coffee does not accept them).

They are not compatible with Nespresso, A Modo Mio or Dolce Gusto machines. See illy machines.

illy rates the Classico 5 out of 9 for intensity. This is the medium roast of its 100% Arabica blend, described as follows: a soft and velvety taste, delicate notes of caramel, orange blossom and jasmine, a sweet finish.

illy also offers it in Lungo, ground coarser for a longer cup; without caffeine, the Decaf, also rated 5 out of 9, has notes of caramel, chocolate and toast.

The capsule is a small extraction chamber. The coffee is first hyper-infused, which develops its body and aromas, then emulsified, which forms a thick, velvety and persistent crema: illy presents this two-phase process as patented.

One capsule gives one espresso: it is not reusable.

Five boxes of 18 Classico capsules, for a total of 90 espressos. illy indicates a net weight of 120.6 g per box. To discover this coffee, the box of 18 is also sold individually.

illy recommends storing them in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated, away from sunlight and heat. The capsules are packaged in a protective atmosphere; once the box is opened, illy advises consuming them preferably within 15 days.

Iperespresso capsules are made of plastic. Please direct them to plastic recycling, or to a dedicated collection point where one exists: follow your local recycling guidelines. Coffee grounds can be composted.
