This box belongs to illy's Iperespresso Professionnel range, designed for Iperespresso machines in offices and cafés, such as the X7.1 Iperespresso professional machine. Check the range indicated on your machine before ordering.

For a domestic machine (X7.1, Y3.3, X1 Anniversary ECO Mode), choose boxes from the domestic range, such as Classico in a box of 18.

It is the same coffee: illy's Classico, a medium-roast 100% Arabica, rated 5 out of 9. Lungo has a coarser grind so that more water passes through the capsule and fills a larger cup. illy describes it as having a mild, velvety taste, delicate notes of caramel, orange blossom and jasmine, and a mild finish.

For a short espresso, choose Classico Professionnel in a box of 30.

The capsule is a small extraction chamber. The coffee is first hyper-infused, which develops its body and aromas, then emulsified, which forms a thick, velvety and lasting crema: illy describes this two-stage process as patented.

One capsule makes one cup: it cannot be reused.

illy recommends keeping them in a dry, clean and well-ventilated place, away from sunlight and heat. The capsules are packed in a protective atmosphere; once the box is open, illy recommends using them preferably within 15 days.

Iperespresso capsules are made of plastic. illy advises putting them in plastic recycling collections, or a dedicated collection scheme where one exists: follow your local council's recycling guidelines. The coffee grounds can be composted.
