Frequently asked questions
How many coffees does the 5 × 1 kg pack make?
The 5 kg pack makes ~714 espressos at a dose of 7 g per cup. Typical yield:
- Small office with 15–30 people → Lasts ~3–5 weeks.
- Coffee-loving household drinking 3–4 cups/day → ~6–9 months.
- Small restaurant / brasserie → ~2–4 weeks.
- Tea room / shop → ~1–2 months.
What's the difference between Gran Crema and Gold?
Two Delta blends in catering packs:
- Delta Gold — a balanced profile, Robustas from Africa and Arabicas from Central America, intensity 8/10, notes of honey, ripe fruit and toasted almonds; versatile (espresso, filter, moka pot).
- Delta Gran Crema (this blend) — 100% Arabica, intensity 6/10, notes of spices, cocoa and fruit, with no bitterness or acidity.
Gran Crema is the choice for a smooth cup with no harshness that retains its character with milk; Gold is the choice for a more full-bodied espresso.
Is Gran Crema suitable for cappuccino?
Yes, an excellent choice. A strong, intense coffee, without bitterness or acidity, that retains its character with milk: the notes of spices, cocoa and fruit blend with the foam. For a cappuccino: a single espresso (7–8 g), a preheated 150 ml ceramic cup, and 100 ml of whole milk heated to 65 °C with dense foam.
What's in the 5 × 1 kg pack?
The pack contains 5 identical 1 kg bags of Delta Gran Crema coffee beans. Each bag stays factory-sealed until you use it: you only open the bag you need that day.
5 kg vs 10 kg pack — which should you choose?
Choose according to how much coffee you use:
- 5 × 1 kg (this pack) — small office with 15–30 people, coffee-loving household, small restaurant, introductory professional pack; lasts 3–6 weeks in an office or 6–9 months at home.
- 10 × 1 kg — bistro, hotel rated 3–4 stars, medium-sized office with 40–60 people, brasserie; lasts 14–30 days in cafés, hotels and restaurants.
To try the flavour profile before committing to a pack, choose a single 1 kg bag.
