Delta Cafés Chávena coffee beans 1 kg

Chávena is the Portuguese word for "cup" (specifically, a coffee cup). Delta Cafés chose this name for this blend because it represents the everyday Portuguese cup —the coffee you drink casually, at the bar, at home, or at the office. It's the Delta "family" blend. Culturally, coffee is central to Portugal: the bica in Lisbon, the cimbalino in Porto, the galão long with milk—these are all daily rituals that this blend complements.

Delta's signature blends reflect different balances and intensities :

• Chávena (this product) — accessible daily, balanced Arabica-Robusta blend, intensity 7/10.
• Gran Espresso — full-bodied Italian-style, Ho.Re.Ca pro blend dominant Robusta, intensity 10/10.
• Platinum — top-of-the-range fineblend, predominantly Arabica, intensity 7/10, floral notes.
• Gold — iconic bestseller, Arabica-Robusta, intensity 8/10.

Estimated yield:

• Strong espresso (7g) : ~143 cups.
• Standard espresso (9 g) : ~111 cups.
• Filter coffee maker (60 g / L) : ~83 cups of 200 mL.

Home (4 cups/day): ~5 weeks per kilo. Office (20 cups/day): ~1 week per kilo.

Yes, all brands : De'Longhi (Magnifica, Dinamica, Eletta), Jura (E, S, Z, GIGA), Philips (LatteGo, 2200-5500), Melitta (Caffeo, Barista), Krups (Evidence, Intuition), Saeco. Recommended settings: medium grind 5/10, dose 9-10 g, temperature 92°C. The Arabica-Robusta blend produces a dense, hazelnut-colored crema that compensates well for machines without pre-infusion. Estimated yield: ~111 cups per 1 kg bag at 9 g per extraction.

Carefully reseal the Delta bag (integrated zip closure) or transfer the beans to an airtight, opaque jar. Store at room temperature (18-22°C), away from light and heat sources. Avoid refrigerating (humidity and odor absorption). Best before end of sealed bag: 18-24 months. Once opened, ideally consume within 3-4 weeks for optimal flavor.

The grind must be adapted to the method:

• Espresso / grinder machine : fine grind (fine sand texture), extraction 25-30 s for 30 mL.
• Italian moka coffee maker : medium-fine grind , gentle heat 3-4 min.
• Filter coffee maker / V60 : medium grind , ratio 60 g / L.
• French Press : coarse, infusion 4 min.
