Taste Profile
Delta Platinum is the premium blend from Delta Cafés. Delta describes it as a blend of Central American Arabica , for its aromatic finesse and sweetness, and Asian Robusta , for its body and crema retention. It is slow and naturally roasted in Campo Maior (Alentejo, Portugal), following the Portuguese method: full development of the sugars without burning the bean.
In the cup , an espresso with an intense body and a long, smooth flavor , a dense, hazelnut-colored crema that clings to the cup, and notes of ripe fruit, caramel, and chocolate . The acidity is present but well-integrated, and the bitterness is restrained—the round and elegant cup of the Delta range, the coffee of choice for after-dinner drinks in restaurants and hotels throughout Portugal.
The XXL 30 kg pack contains 60 x 500 g bags, the same bag size as the individual Delta Platinum 500 g, each sealed with a degassing valve. Designed for high-traffic establishments : urban cafés and bars (100-300 espressos/day), brasseries, restaurants, 4-5 star hotels, and companies with 80 or more employees. A single shipment provides several weeks of service at the best price per kilo in the Platinum range — a saving of 22% compared to buying 60 bags separately. Smaller size: Platinum 20 kg (40 bags).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the yield of the 30 kg pack?
The 30 kg pack produces approximately 4,285 espressos at the standard dose of 7 g/cup, or approximately 71 per 500 g bag. Typical yield for the hospitality industry:
- Coffee bar 100 espressos/day → ~40 days of autonomy, approximately 1.5 sachets per day.
- Coffee shop/bar 200 espressos/day → ~20 days of autonomy.
- Restaurant 50 espressos/day → ~80 days of autonomy.
- Office space for 80 employees → ~25-35 days of autonomy (2 coffees/day/person).
- 4-5 star hotel with breakfast + lounge → ~20-30 days.
This is the most economical format in the catalogue for the Delta Platinum blend.
Contents of the 30 kg pack?
The pack contains 60 identical 500g bags of Delta Platinum whole bean coffee—each bag is sold individually under the reference Delta Platinum 500g —same blend, same roast, and from similar batches to maintain consistent aroma. Each bag is sealed with a degassing valve. The bags are grouped into cartons for shipping; delivery methods, times, and costs will be displayed in your shopping cart based on your address.
Difference between Delta Platinum and other Delta pro packages?
Delta offers several blends in pro packs:
- Delta Platinum (this ref.) — the top of the range : Central American Arabica and Asian Robusta, slow roasted, ripe fruit / caramel / chocolate, round, smooth and long cup, intensity 8/10.
- Delta Gold 30 kg — the balanced signature, Arabica-Robusta, dark chocolate / dried fruit, versatile, intensity 8/10. Same format, 60 bags of 500 g.
- Delta Gran Espresso — Italian style dark roast, Robusta dominant, fuller-bodied and bitter, target traditional strong espresso.
These three blends are distinguished by their aromatic signature : Platinum is elegant and long on the palate, Gold is versatile and chocolatey, Gran Espresso is direct and full-bodied, Italian style.
Are you a professional: quotes, volumes and regular supply?
The 30 kg pack can be purchased online like any other product in the catalog, with the delivery options displayed in your shopping cart. For larger volumes, scheduled deliveries (monthly), or to request a quote, please visit our wholesale coffee : it contains the terms and conditions reserved for professionals, separate from those of the shop.
Is there a smaller size or a single-serve sachet available?
Yes, and it's the same bag: Delta Platinum 500g individually, Delta Platinum 1kg (2 bags of 500g), then the 5kg (10 bags), 10kg (20 bags) and 20kg (40 bags) packs for establishments with moderate or heavy traffic.
Storage and rotation of 30kg pack stock in the hospitality industry
Store the cartons in a dry place, away from light and heat, in your storage area (ideal temperature 18-22°C). First-in, first-out is recommended—open only one bag at a time per machine to preserve the freshness of subsequent bags. The best-before date is printed on each bag: a 30 kg pack consumed in 20 to 60 days is well below this date. Once a 500 g bag is opened, ideally consume it within 1 to 3 weeks —in a busy catering environment, it will be gone within a day.
