Delta Q is the capsule brand launched in 2007 by Delta Cafés, the brand owned by the Portuguese Nabeiro group, founded in 1961 in Campo Maior by Rui Nabeiro and the market leader in roasted coffee in Portugal for over twenty years. Delta Q itself became the capsule market leader in Portugal in 2012 and embodies unique Portuguese expertise in the world of capsules.
The Intensités range assigns each blend a number: at Cafemalin, it runs from QONVICTUS N°5, classic and balanced with notes of caramel and chocolate, to UNIQ N°16, the highest level ever offered by the brand. In between are AQTIVUS N°8, intense and stimulating, QHARACTER N°9 with notes of caramel and dried fruit, the iconic QALIDUS N°10 (the range's bestseller), QHARISMA N°12, EPIQ N°14 and MYTHIQ N°15, with notes of cocoa and hints of raspberry.
The range also includes origin coffees (Brazil, Colombia, Jamaica), specialities (Canela with cinnamon, Bio with dual certification, Double Shot with ginseng and guarana), rich and authentic decaffeinated DEQAFEINATUS N°7, Relax herbal tea with chamomile, and the pack with 4 intensities (no. 9, 10, 12 and 14) to compare several blends in a single order.
Delta Q stands out for its consistency: in Campo Maior, green coffees are tasted daily by tasters before being roasted and blended. The blends combine Arabica and Robusta from Africa, America and Asia (Angola, Cameroon and Honduras for Qalidus no. 10). The capsule combines a plastic body and an aluminium lid, which are recyclable once separated.

No, Delta Q capsules are not compatible with Nespresso. Delta Q capsules use a brand-specific format that only fits Delta Q machines, such as the Mini Qool, ICONIQ, Qool Evolution or Milk Qool Evolution.
If you have a Nespresso Original machine, choose our compatible capsules instead: Lavazza or our Nespresso Original-compatible capsules.
A Delta Q machine only accepts capsules in the Delta Q format: Nespresso, Dolce Gusto and Lavazza capsules will not fit. All products on this page are genuine Delta Q capsules, including coffee, decaf and herbal infusions, for use with the brand's machines, from the Mini Qool to the ICONIQ.
Some retailers sell own-brand capsules in the same format; Delta Q only guarantees extraction quality when using its own capsules.
Delta Q capsules are produced in Portugal, in Campo Maior (Alentejo), the birthplace of the Nabeiro group. Green coffees are tasted there daily by coffee tasters, then roasted and blended. The beans come from several producing countries, which vary by blend: Qalidus n°10 combines Robusta coffees from Angola and Cameroon with an Arabica from Honduras, while MythiQ n°15 combines coffees from Angola and Cameroon.
The number on each box indicates the blend's intensity: it is the best guide when choosing, or when comparing blends with the pack of 4 intensities.
Each Delta Q capsule has an intensity number. Delta Q defines intensity as the strength of the coffee's flavour, which depends on the amount of ground coffee, the roast level and the type of beans: the higher the number, the stronger the espresso. At Cafemalin, the range runs from N°5 to N°16:

To get started with the brand confidently, we recommend two options:
1. The pack of 4 intensities — 40 capsules across four blends (Qharacter n°9, Qalidus n°10, Qharisma n°12 and EpiQ n°14): find your preferred intensity with a single order before choosing your box of 10 or pack of 40.
2. QHARACTER N°9 — full-bodied and sophisticated according to Delta, with an intensity of 9, notes of caramel and dried fruit, and balanced acidity. A safe first choice before exploring stronger intensities.
Yes, their materials can be recycled, provided they go through the correct recycling process. A Delta Q capsule combines a plastic body and an aluminium lid; according to Delta Q, each capsule can be recycled by separating the plastic, aluminium and coffee grounds.
In France, the instructions depend on your local council: check where to take your used capsules using Citeo's Guide du tri (website or app). The coffee grounds can be composted.
Any order placed before 16 h on a working day is dispatched the same day. At checkout, you can choose pick-up point delivery, home delivery, express delivery before 13 h, or collection from the shop in Sarcelles. Our advice: for a household of 2 daily coffee drinkers (2 coffees a day each = 120 a month), a pack of 40 lasts around 10 days. Allow for 3 packs a month, or combine this with a subscription.
