Lavazza Blue capsules

On all machines using the Lavazza Blue system: Lavazza's ‘LB’ machines and machines from other brands designed for this system. Examples in the catalogue:

• LB 300 Classy Mini — compact: 0,7 L water tank, an espresso button and a lungo button with manual stop.
• LB 1300C Classy Soul — compact, with a touchscreen.
• LB 2310 — for offices: 4 L tank and a container holding 25 used capsules.
• Covim CO120 — from a brand other than Lavazza: black, with two buttons on the front.

The model is shown on the machine's rating plate. Blue capsules do not work in Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, A Modo Mio, Espresso Point or Firma machines. View Lavazza Blue machines.

First, original Lavazza Blue capsules: coffees, decaffeinated coffee, chocolate and a milk-flavoured drink. Other roasters also offer Blue-format capsules in boxes of 100: Bristot Arabica Plus, Covim Honduras 100% Arabica and Orocrema, for example. Capsules from other systems, including Lavazza systems (A Modo Mio, Espresso Point, Firma), do not fit in a Lavazza Blue machine.

Blue Intenso, our bestseller: an Arabica and Robusta blend with an intensity of 11 out of 13, described by Lavazza as an intense, creamy espresso with a chocolatey flavour. For a milder cup, try Tales of Venezia (8 out of 13, pure Arabica).

To taste several coffees before choosing, the mix-and-match pack brings together three boxes of 100 capsules, with your choice of coffees from the range.

Two separate systems with capsules that are not interchangeable:

• Lavazza Blue — Lavazza's system for offices and public spaces, launched in 2003: ‘LB’ machines, Italian coffee capsules (Blue Intenso, Tales of collection…) and capsules for chocolate and milk-flavoured drinks.
• Nespresso Professional — Nespresso's range for businesses, with its own machines and capsules, different from Nespresso's consumer range.

A Blue capsule only works in a Lavazza Blue machine; a Nespresso Professional capsule only works in a Nespresso Professional machine.

A collection of coffees inspired by Italian destinations, created by Lavazza. Five destinations in Blue capsules, from least to most intense on the Lavazza scale:

• Tales of Venezia (8 out of 13) — pure Arabica from Central and South America, floral and fruity, available as espresso and lungo.
• Tales of Milano (9) — Rainforest Alliance-certified pure Brazilian Arabica: milk chocolate, dried fruit and honey.
• Tales of Roma (10) — Arabica and Robusta: hazelnut, chocolate and dried fruit.
• Tales of Capri (11) — Arabica and Robusta, medium roast: chocolate and dried fruit.
• Tales of Napoli (12) — Arabica and Robusta, prolonged roasting: bitter cocoa and caramel.

A way to offer several coffees in the same office, using just one machine.

Yes, the Blue range includes two drink capsules, in boxes of 50:

• Cioccolato Fondente — for hot chocolate made by the machine, just like coffee.
• Bevanda Bianca — a milk-flavoured drink that Lavazza recommends for chocolate drinks, macchiatos or tea with milk.
