Delta Q Capsules

No, Delta Q capsules are not compatible with Nespresso. Delta Q uses a proprietary perforation system with a distinctive shape (cylindrical capsule with a rounded base) that only works with Delta Q machines — the main models being the Mini Qool, the Qool Evolution, the Milk Qool (with integrated milk nozzle) and the Naveo.

If you own a Nespresso Original machine, you should instead choose our compatible capsules: Lavazza, Illy Iperespresso or our Nespresso Original compatibles.

Delta Q uses a standardized scale from 1 (very soft) to 15 (very intense), indicated on the back of each box by a number and an associated color (darker = more intense). Here are the key points:

• N°5 QONVICTUS — smooth, with milky and peanut notes, ideal as a cappuccino
• No. 7 DEQAFEINATUS — decaffeinated, medium body, all the taste without the caffeine
• No. 9 QHARACTER — balanced, with notes of caramel and dried fruit, the perfect morning espresso
• No. 10 QALIDUS — full-bodied, rich, our absolute bestseller
• No. 15 MYTHIQ — very dark roast, very intense and long finish

The general rule: the higher the number, the shorter, denser, and more bitter the espresso will be. For a lungo or an Americano, stick to intensities of 5 to 9.

Yes, Delta Q capsules are made from 100% recyclable aluminum. Here is the recommended procedure:

1. Empty the used coffee grounds into your compost bin or organic waste bin (it also fertilizes plants very well).
2. Rinse the empty capsule quickly.
3. Deposit it in the aluminium recycling stream: yellow bin in most French municipalities, or point Delta Q collection in certain partner stores (list available on the official Delta Q website).

Unlike plastic, aluminum can be recycled infinitely without any loss of quality. This is one of the reasons why Delta Q made this eco-responsible choice.
