Frequently asked questions
Who is Covim Giada for?
For those who want a mild espresso with no bitterness: intensity 7/10, with notes of caramel, nuts and chocolate. It is the mildest Covim whole bean coffee sold at Cafemalin (75% Arabica, 25% Robusta).
Orocrema, Granbar, Prestige or Giada: which should you choose?
Four Covim coffees available as beans at Cafemalin, from the most intense to the mildest:
- Orocrema — intensity 10/10, rich and robust, with cocoa and aromatic wood notes.
- Granbar — intensity 9/10, rich and full-bodied, toast and dried fruit.
- Prestige — intensity 8/10, smooth and aromatic, with toast and red berry notes.
- Giada (this product) — intensity 7/10, mild with no bitterness, caramel, nuts and chocolate.
How many cups does a 1 kg bag make?
Around 125 espressos using 8 g each, or around a hundred doubles using 10 g each. In a moka pot (around 15 g for 3 cups), a bag makes around sixty pots.
Is it suitable for automatic bean-to-cup machines?
Yes: these are coffee beans, suitable for bean-to-cup machines as well as grinders used with portafilter machines. Set a fine grind for espresso, or a medium-fine grind for a moka pot.
How should you store the coffee after opening?
Reseal the bag tightly after each use, or transfer the beans to an airtight, opaque container, away from heat, light and moisture; do not refrigerate. Use the coffee before the date printed on the pack, preferably within a few weeks of opening.
