Made from range 100% Arabica beans selected from premium origins ( South and Central America : Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras), it undergoes a controlled medium-dark roast that intensifies the aromatic structure without veering into bitterness . machines Modo Mio accept Passionale capsules — it's the same proprietary system since 2005.Compatible with the entire range: Jolie, Jolie&Milk, Voicy, Deséa, Idola, Espria, Piccina, Tiny, Minù, Fantasia, as well as the older LM910, LM950, and LM3100. Not compatible with Lavazza Blue (office/hotel/restaurant/café), Lavazza Espresso Point (vendor), Nespresso Original or Vertuo, or Dolce Gusto — the capsule geometries and extraction parameters are different.
Passionale or Intenso: what's the difference on the A Modo Mio system?
Two full-bodied A Modo Mio , but with distinct flavor profiles :
- Passionale (this product) — 100% Arabica, intensity 11/13, delicate notes of roasted dried fruit and dark chocolate. A premium, aromatic, and refined coffee: powerful without being rustic.
- Intenso — an Arabica and Robusta, even more powerful, with a more rustic body, notes of roasted cereals and bitter cocoa. Positioned as a classic, full-bodied Italian espresso, at a more affordable price.

How many cups can you get from a box of 16 capsules?
16 espressos — one capsule = one cup (standard Lavazza dose 7.5 g per capsule). Household autonomy estimates:
- 1 cup / day (occasional use): ~16 days per box.
- 2 cups / day (typical consumption): ~8 days per box.
- 4 cups / day (2-person household): ~4 days per box.

Are A Modo Mio capsules recyclable?
Passionale capsules are made of flexible aluminum, a 100% recyclable. In France, there are three recycling options:
- Drop-off at Lavazza collection points in partner stores (list on lavazza.fr).
- Lavazza Terracycle program — collection at home or at a point . collection
- After separating the pomace, selective sorting of metal packaging (yellow bin according to local instructions).
Aluminium can be recycled indefinitely without loss of quality — better long-term environmental record than plastic.
Can I store the capsules for a long time without losing their aroma?
date: 18-24 months from the production date indicated on the box. Recommended storage: room temperature 15-25°C, away from direct light, humidity, and heat sources. The aluminum hermetically seals the coffee : no loss of aroma occurs as long as the capsule remains intact until it is pierced by the machine. Unlike whole bean coffee (which should be consumed within 3-4 weeks of opening), the capsules remain stable throughout their best before date.

Yes, actively supported and expanded. Launched in 2005 as Lavazza's answer to the Nespresso market, the A Modo Mio is the Italian home standard for the Lavazza group. The capsule range is regularly enriched (Passionale, Intenso, Delizioso, Soave, Dolce, DEK, Tierra Bio, Inspiration series), and the machine catalog is expanding (Jolie, Deséa, Idola, Voicy).
