Lavazza Intenso A Modo Mio — 16 capsules

The two most intense coffees in our A Modo Mio, with different compositions and profiles :

• Intenso (this ref.) — intensity 13/13, Arabica and Robusta, medium roast, notes of cocoa and spices. Intense, full-bodied and round.
• Passionale — intensity 11/13, 100% Arabica, dark roast, slightly caramelized flavor and notes of chocolate. Balanced, full-bodied, smooth.

Recommendation: Intenso for the strongest coffee in the range, Passionale for a milder, intense espresso.

Comparable in its parameters capsule Modo Mio contains 7 to 9 g of coffee, extracted between 90 and 96 °C under a pressure of approximately 8 to 9 bars, yielding 25 to 35 mL in the cup—references close to those of a bar espresso. With its 13/13 rating, the Intenso is the most intense in our A Modo Mio.

Yes : Lavazza also says it's ideal for preparations with milk, and its intensity of 13/13 maintains its character even with frothed milk. Recommendation: 1 Intenso capsule + 100-120 mL of whole milk frothed at 65°C. For a milder cappuccino, choose Delizioso or Soave.
