Taste Profile
Lavazza Blue Red Fruit Tea is a pure red fruit infusion in a System capsule Blue . Despite its commercial name, "Red Fruit Tea," it is an infusion made without Camellia sinensis tea leaves , and therefore contains no theine or caffeine . Typical composition: dried hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa flower, the classic base of fruit teas, a natural bright red/pink coloring agent), rosehip (fruit of the wild rose, rich in vitamin C), natural raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry , and sometimes other red fruit flavors (strawberry, cherry, cranberry, depending on the batch). Hibiscus is the signature ingredient that gives the infusion its spectacular bright red/pink color as well as its characteristic tartness (the famous "cranberry" tartness ). In the cup: a visually appealing bright red/pink infusion with dominant tart and fruity notes (raspberry, ripe blackcurrant), a floral hibiscus base , and a slightly astringent finish . The profile is refreshing, hydrating, and stimulant-free —perfect for any time of day. Unlike Blue Mint (green tea, ~30 mg theine) and Blue Al Lemon (black tea, ~40 mg theine), this product is strictly stimulant-free —suitable for: evening consumption before bedtime, pregnant and breastfeeding women , children (from 3-4 years old) , people sensitive to caffeine, and those with high blood pressure. The 15-capsule format is ideal for occasional use or as a complement to a main coffee supply—perfect in an office/hospitality setting where offering a stimulant-free infusion alternative alongside coffee is appreciated by employees.

Frequently Asked Questions
Truly caffeine-free and theine-free?
Confirmed — 100% caffeine and theine free. Despite the commercial name " Red Fruit Tea," this product is actually a pure infusion of dried herbs and fruit — no Camellia sinensis tea leaves, therefore no theine (the name given to the caffeine in tea). Ingredients: hibiscus, rosehip, natural red fruit flavorings. Compatible:
- Evening consumption — no impact on sleep.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women — no stimulants, hibiscus is generally well tolerated (but avoid in case of high-risk pregnancy, consult your midwife).
- Children aged 3-4 years and older in small quantities.
- People sensitive to caffeine, hypertension, sleep disorders.
The name "Tea" here is a common marketing commercial choice (like "fruit iced tea") and not a tea in the strict botanical sense.
Suitable for pregnant women and children?
Generally well tolerated, with a few precautions :
- Pregnant women — hibiscusis the component to watch out for. Some studies suggest that in high doses it could have a slight effect on uterine tone — moderate consumption (1-2 cups/day) is generally considered safe , but we recommend consulting your midwife/doctor for personalized advice, particularly in the first trimester or in the case of a high-risk pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding women — the infusion is well tolerated during breastfeeding, no stimulant that would pass into breast milk.
- Children — suitable from 3-4 years old in small quantities (sweeten with a little honey to balance the acidity). Avoid before 1 year old.
Consume in moderation, as with any active plant.
Why the bright red/pink color?
It is the hibiscus that gives the infusion its spectacular bright red/pink color. The Hibiscus sabdariffa flower (sometimes called "bissap" in West Africa or "karkadé" in the Middle East/Egypt) naturally contains anthocyanins, red/purple plant pigments responsible for the color. These same pigments:
- They give their color to natural red fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry, cherry).
- They are known for their antioxidant.
No artificial coloring is added — the color is 100% natural thanks to the hibiscus.
Mint vs Al Limon vs Red Berries — which product to choose?
Three Blue infusions/teas with very different profiles:
- Mint — green tea + mint, contains ~30 mg of theine, fresh, herbaceous notes. Ideal for digestion after meals and in summer. Mild stimulant.
- Al Limon — black tea + lemon + bergamot, contains ~40 mg of theine, with fruity, tangy notes. Ideal for the afternoon and as a gentle energizer. Moderate stimulant.
- Red Fruit Tea (this product) — hibiscus/raspberry/blackcurrant infusion, caffeine-free, with tangy fruity notes. Ideal for evenings, pregnant women, and children. Zero stimulant.
Red Fruits is the ideal choice if you want zero caffeine/theine — the only one of these three to be a pure infusion without tea leaves.
