Tasting notes & flavour profile
Flavour notes
The gift set brings together two whole bean coffees from Kimbo, in 1 kg bags, so you can compare two blends from the Neapolitan coffee company. Prestige, a predominantly Arabica blend, is the smoother of the two: a balanced flavour with notes of caramel, biscuit and dried fruit. Extra Cream, a predominantly Robusta blend, has a bold flavour, full body and thick crema, with notes of pepper and liquorice. Both are roasted by Kimbo at its factory in Melito di Napoli.

Frequently asked questions
Which coffees are included in the Kimbo Tasting Gift Set?
Two 1 kg bags of Kimbo coffee beans, one of each:
- Prestige: Arabica and Robusta, predominantly Arabica, medium roast, balanced flavour, with notes of caramel, biscuit and dried fruit.
- Extra Cream: Arabica and Robusta, predominantly Robusta, medium roast, full body, thick crema, with notes of pepper and liquorice.
Each is also available separately, in a bag of 1 kg.
Which coffee should you taste first?
Start with Prestige, the smoother of the two, then move on to Extra Cream, which has a fuller body. To compare them, use the same brewing method and dose.
Which machines can you use these coffee beans with?
With a bean-to-cup machine with a built-in grinder, simply pour the beans into the hopper. With a grinder, you can also use them in a portafilter espresso machine, moka pot, filter coffee maker or cafetière: adjust the grind to suit the brewing method. They are not suitable for capsule machines.
How many cups of coffee does the gift set make?
The two bags contain 2 kg of coffee: approximately 285 espressos at 7 g per cup, or approximately 140 for each coffee.
Can you have the gift set delivered directly to the recipient?
Yes: enter the recipient's address as the delivery address when you order. No invoice is included in the parcel.
How should you store coffee beans?
Keep away from air, moisture, light and heat: after opening, reseal the bag carefully or transfer the beans to an opaque, airtight jar and store at room temperature. Avoid the fridge, where coffee absorbs moisture and odours. An unopened bag can be kept until the best-before date printed on the packaging.
