• Heat resistant up to ~90°C — the food-grade PE film begins to soften above this temperature. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are perfectly safe (~65-85°C in the cup).
• Cold/icy — no lower limit. The water-repellent PE film protects hands from condensation when serving iced drinks (iced coffee, iced tea, light smoothies). Ideal for summer patios and outdoor events.

Caution : Boiling water (100°C) or direct steam can cause PE to sink. Always cool slightly before serving.

A nuanced environmental assessment :

• PointPositive — FSC cardboard (managed forests), renewable resource, CO2 manufacturing footprint ~50% lower than PS (polystyrene) cups according to ADEME 2020. Biodegradable cardboard fibers.
