Only Delta Q capsules are compatible: the instruction manual specifies that the machine is designed to make drinks using Delta Q capsules. For a cappuccino or a café crème, you use a coffee capsule—for example, Qonvictus No. 5 , Qharacter No. 9 , Qalidus No. 10 , or MythiQ No. 15 —and the milk comes from the machine's container. Four buttons and a selector:

• Espresso : approximately 30 ml.
• Long coffee : approximately 45 ml.
• Extended drinks : approximately 180 ml, or hot water; the same button is also used for purging.
• Milk drink : a cappuccino or a café crème depending on the selector position, approximately 190 ml.

These are the factory-set volumes: each button is programmable, and for milk drinks the machine separately memorizes the quantity of coffee and the quantity of milk.

Pour the milk into the container (level 1 corresponds to one glass, level 2 to two), close the lid, open the milk system door and connect the container. Lift the lever, insert a Delta Q coffee capsule and lower it, place a cup with a capacity greater than 190 ml under the spout, set the selector to Cappuccino or Café Crème, then press the D button.

A cappuccino starts with milk foam, then coffee; a café crème starts with coffee, then milk. For consistent foam, Delta Q recommends semi-skimmed milk at refrigerator temperature ; the machine's official description also mentions plant-based milk. Rinse the milk container before reusing it.

Delta Q requires rinsing and cleaning the milk system after each use, and the machine does this automatically with its integrated program:

1. Place a large glass (over 190 ml) under the spout;
2. fill the milk container with drinking water up to level 2, close the lid and connect it to the milk system;
3. Position the selector on Maintenance (the D button and the selector indicator light turn blue), then press the D button: hot water and steam will come out for about 25 seconds, then steam alone for about 25 seconds, and the machine will stop.

The milk container and its lid can also be washed in the dishwasher ; by hand, detach the parts, leave them for a few minutes in hot water with added detergent, rinse with cold water and dry, as well as the bottom of the milk system housing.

The Delta Q machines sold at Cafemalin all accept the same capsules and are distinguished by their use:

• Mini MilkQool (this product) — the machine with an integrated milk reservoir : cappuccino and café crème at the touch of a button, in addition to espresso and lungo. 15.9 cm wide, 0.6 L water tank, 7-capsule container.
• Mini Qool — the smallest machine in the Delta Q range: 9.5 cm wide, for espresso, lungo coffee or herbal tea, with milk heated and frothed separately. It is available in red, grey and yellow, and in a pack with 120 capsules.
• ICONIQ — a touchscreen machine with programmable volumes: 12.2 cm wide, 0.8 L reservoir, 10 used capsule bin. It comes with 180 capsules.
