Storage and best before date?
Best before date 18-24 months from roasting, store at room temperature (15-25°C), away from light and humidity. EP capsules are made of rigid polypropylene plastic that hermetically seals the coffee — no loss of aroma until the capsule is pierced. Store the box in a closed cupboard, away from humid kitchens or near ovens/hobs.
Are EP capsules recyclable?
The capsule body is made of polypropylene (PP), a material that can be recycled through standard recycling channels after the coffee grounds have been separated. Unlike A Modo Mio, there is no dedicated Lavazza EP program in France: prioritize recycling plastic packaging (yellow bin in most municipalities) after emptying the coffee grounds into the compost or organic waste bin.
