Frequently asked questions
Which is the most intense Delta Q coffee?
Uniq N°16: rated 16, it has the highest intensity level ever offered by Delta Q, above Mythiq N°15. For Delta Q, intensity is the strength of the coffee's flavour, which depends on the amount of ground coffee, the roast level and the type of beans: the higher the number, the stronger the espresso.
Delta Q describes it as a blend that is full-bodied and velvety with a lingering finish: an espresso with notes of chocolate and roasted walnuts.
Where does the coffee in Delta Q Uniq come from?
Uniq N°16 combines Robusta from Africa with Arabica from Central America. Like the coffee in all Delta Q capsules, it is roasted in Portugal by Delta Cafés, in Campo Maior, where the green coffees are tasted daily before being roasted and blended.
Uniq N°16 or Mythiq N°15: which should you choose?
Uniq N°16 (intensity 16) is full-bodied and velvety with a lingering finish: notes of chocolate and roasted walnuts, lasting on the palate. Mythiq N°15 (intensity 15) is full-bodied and very intense: notes of cocoa, chocolate and roasted walnuts, with hints of raspberry.
For a slightly less powerful espresso, choose Mythiq N°15; for more intensity, stay with Uniq N°16.
Are Delta Q Uniq capsules compatible with Nespresso?
No. Delta Q capsules use a format specific to the brand: they only work in Delta Q machines, such as the Mini Qool or ICONIQ, and do not fit Nespresso, Dolce Gusto or Lavazza machines. Likewise, a Delta Q machine only accepts Delta Q format capsules.
How do you recycle Delta Q capsules?
A Delta Q capsule combines a plastic body with an aluminium lid; according to Delta Q, it can be recycled by separating the plastic, aluminium and coffee grounds. In France, the instructions depend on your local authority: check Citeo’s Guide du tri (website or app). The grounds can be composted.
