Taste Profile
Kimbo Cremoso is the signature Neapolitan creamy from Kimbo (a Neapolitan roaster founded in 1963 by the Rubino brothers). The name Cremoso evokes the smooth, velvety crema it develops in the cup. It is composed of 50% Arabica and 50% Robusta beans—selected from high-altitude plantations in South America, Africa, and Asia—which give the blend its complex character and aromatic signature.
In the cup : a smooth and velvety, a rich and persistent, and signature notes of chocolate, hazelnut, caramel , and toast. Moderate to generous body (7/10), elegantly balanced bitterness, and a remarkably long finish. The 50/50 Arabica-Robusta places Cremoso at the heart of the Kimbo range—more expressive than Armonico (lighter in Robusta) but rounder and velvetier than Extra Cream (more full-bodied).
The 3 kg pack is designed for home use by Italian espresso enthusiasts, small offices, and small Italian restaurants : home use for intense espresso (supply of approximately 3-4 months with regular use of 4-6 cups/day), small offices with 5-15 employees (supply of approximately 3-4 weeks), and small Italian restaurants/trattorias. A smaller 1 kg pack of Cremoso is suitable for those new to the product, while a 6 x 1 kg pack of Cremoso for medium-sized offices and high-volume restaurants.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sets Cremoso apart from Extra Cream and Armonico?
The three Kimbo blends are similar but with distinct balances :
- Armonico — 70/30 Arabica-Robusta, intensity 7/10, lighter and fruitier, positioned for vending/office use.
- Cremoso (this blend) — 50/50 Arabica-Robusta, intensity 7/10, perfect balance between sweetness and body, creamy crema.
- Extra Cream — 40/60 Arabica-Robusta, intensity 8/10, dark roast more full-bodied, abundant crema signature of Neapolitan.
Cremoso is the middle blend in the range — more expressive than Armonico, rounder and velvetier than Extra Cream. An excellent choice if you're torn between the two.
Who is this 3 x 1 kg pack intended for?
The 3kg Cremoso pack is calibrated for home use by amateur espresso coffee makers / small offices / small Italian restaurants :
- Italian espresso hobby stove — battery life ~3-4 months with regular use of 4-6 cups/day.
- Small office for 5-15 employees — shared grain machine, autonomy ~3-4 weeks.
- Small Italian restaurant/trattoria — signature after-dinner coffee with creamy crema.
- Curious Kimbo range enthusiast — try the Cremoso style, more intense than Prestige but less so than Extra Cream.
How to achieve the signature smooth cream?
Cremoso cream is smooth and velvety. To showcase it:
- Freshly ground grains — the crema drops drastically after a few minutes.
- Fine grind but not too fine — the balance needs to be found depending on your machine.
- T° 93 °C — optimal extraction of crema-making oils.
- Time 25-30 s — 30-40 mL single espresso.
- Preheated cup — hot water before serving so as not to break the crema.
Is Cremoso suitable for cappuccino?
Yes, excellent. The Cremoso blend has a balanced body that cuts through heated milk without being crushed. The chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel blend beautifully with the foam— a balanced, indulgent cappuccino. Its smooth crema holds its shape perfectly under the foamed milk—authentic Italian style. For a signature Kimbo cappuccino : single espresso (7-8 g), preheated cup, 100-150 mL of whole milk foamed to 65°C, gently pour the foamed milk over the espresso to create a simple latte art design.
How many cups can you get from a 3 x 1 kg pack of Cremoso?
The yield depends on the dosage per cup and the method:
- Strong espresso (7 g/cup) : ~428 espressos per pack.
- Standard espresso (9 g/cup) : ~333 cups.
- Italian Moka : ~200 cups of 100 mL.
- Cappuccino (7 g/cup + frothed milk) : ~428 cappuccinos.
For small office use (20 cups/day) , a 3kg pack lasts approximately 3 weeks . For home use (4-6 cups/day) , the supply lasts approximately 3-4 months .
