Intenso is the more intense of the two Kimbo Dolce Gusto-compatible coffees from Cafemalin : 12 out of 13 on Kimbo's scale, with a dark roast , typical of the Neapolitan tradition according to the company. Kimbo does not publish its composition.
In the cup : an intense, roasted aroma, a full body , and a lingering finish with notes of dark chocolate. For a milder cup, try Kimbo Barista 100% Arabica (9/13), also available in Dolce Gusto capsules.

Which machines accept these capsules?
Nescafé® Dolce Gusto® Original machines , manufactured by Krups and De'Longhi: Piccolo XS, Genio S, Infinissima, Mini Me, Oblo, Movenza… They do not fit into Neo machines , another Nescafé Dolce Gusto system with paper pods, nor into Nespresso, Lavazza or illy machines.
Intenso or Barista 100% Arabica: which Kimbo Dolce Gusto capsule should you choose?
The two Kimbo coffees compatible with Dolce Gusto from Cafemalin, on the Kimbo intensity scale (from 1 to 13):
- Barista 100% Arabica — 9/13, medium-dark roast, notes of fresh flowers, almond and toast.
- Intenso (this coffee) — 12/13, dark roast, full body, dark chocolate finish.
What does a capsule contain?
7g of roasted and ground coffee, packaged in a protective atmosphere. The box contains 16 capsules, or 16 espressos.
How do I make a cappuccino with the Intenso?
Prepare the espresso, then add freshly frothed hot milk: a Dolce Gusto machine doesn't froth the milk itself, it uses milk capsules. The full body of the Intenso and its dark chocolate notes stand up well to the milk.
How should the capsules be stored?
Store in their box, away from heat, light and humidity. Each capsule is packaged in a protective atmosphere: the coffee will keep until the date printed on the box.
Is this coffee made in Italy?
Yes: the packaging indicates that it is made in Italy by Kimbo, a Neapolitan company founded in 1963 by the brothers Francesco, Gerardo and Elio Rubino.
