Taste Profile
Bristot Americano Dark Roast 1 kg — Bristot's Americano blend , specifically calibrated for American-style espresso . Darker roast than classic Bristot espresso blends — a richer, fuller profile , ideal for longer extractions.
Americano coffee : Unlike a short Italian espresso (30 mL / 25 s), an Americano is prepared by extending the extraction to approximately 120-180 mL or by diluting an espresso with hot water. The result: a coffee that is lighter in concentration but longer in volume, suitable for everyday American consumption or for those who find Italian espresso too strong.
In the cup : a full-bodied and robust long coffee with signature notes of intense cocoa, roasted notes, and brown caramel . Generous body, pronounced yet elegant bitterness. Ideal for the home coffee lover, office, brasserie/restaurant offering Americano on the menu , or North American-style cafeteria .

Frequently Asked Questions
What is "dark roast"?
Dark roast = dark roasting. The coffee beans are roasted longer and at a higher temperature than classic espresso blends — until they achieve a dark brown or even black color, with brown oils visible on the surface of the bean.
Effects in the cup : more pronounced notes of brown caramel, roasting, intense cocoa , fuller body , mellow acidity , and more pronounced bitterness . This is the dominant style in the North American market (Starbucks, traditional US coffee shops), and is well-suited to the Americano long coffee.
Difference between Americano and Italian Espresso?
Two distinct styles of coffee:
- Italian espresso — tight extraction 30 mL / 25 s, concentrated and short, to be drunk in 1-2 sips.
- Americano — long extraction 120-180 mL / 30-45 s OR espresso diluted with hot water. A lighter coffee in concentration but with a longer flavor, to be savored over several minutes.
This Bristot blend is calibrated for Americano — use it as a long coffee, not a short espresso.
Who is this blend for?
