Delta Cafés is the leading Portuguese coffee roaster — founded in 1961 in Campo Maior, in theAlentejo (southeast Portugal, on the Spanish border), by Rui Nabeiro. Today present in more than 40 countries, Delta is the leading coffee brand in Portugal and a global benchmark for Portuguese coffee — a distinct profile from Italian (less bitter), French (more full-bodied) or Spanish (roasted to a high temperature) blends.
The Signature is premium, high-end line . It comes in two main blends: Signature Crema (this blend, a well-balanced and smooth blend) and Signature Intense (a more full-bodied blend). The Crema is composed primarily ofhigh-altitude Arabica beans (from Brazil, Colombia, and Central America), medium-roasted for a smooth and rounded characteristic of the Portuguese signature.
In the cup: a smooth and enveloping attack with notes of milk chocolate (sweet cocoa, caramel milk chocolate), a medium to full body balanced and supported by notes of dried fruit (roasted hazelnut, almond) and sweet notes . Dense and persistent crema —characteristic of the Portuguese style. A medium and harmonious finish. A smooth and refined alternative —for lovers of well-rounded coffee, less full-bodied than Italian blends.

Frequently Asked Questions
Delta Signature Crema vs Signature Intense — how to choose?
Two iconic blends from the Signature with distinct orientations:
- Signature Crema (this ref.) — a well-balanced, rounded blend. Predominantly Arabica, medium roast, notes of milk chocolate, dried fruit, and dense crema. Intensity 7/10.
- Signature Intense (#105364) — a more full-bodied blend. More expressive Arabica-Robusta, darker roast, dark chocolate/malty notes, and a richer body. Higher intensity.
Choose Crema for a smooth and rounded profile. Intense for a more expressive and full-bodied espresso.
Is there a larger size than 500g?
The Signature Crema blend is currently available in a 500g format (this reference) at Cafemalin, a discovery/individual size. Compatible with milk-based drinks and long coffee?
Excellent . The characteristic milk chocolate and dried fruit notes of Signature Crema harmonize naturally with the sweetness of heated milk— Portuguese cappuccino, café com leite (a Portuguese specialty), galão, latte macchiato . The balanced body cuts through the milk beautifully without being crushed, and the characteristic dense crema creates a striking visual effect. Also suitable for an 80-100 mL lungo —the Arabica coffee can withstand the lengthening without becoming watery.
How to store the 500g pack to preserve its freshness?
The 500g pack is sealed in a protected atmosphere and equipped with a degassing valve. As long as the pack remains unopened, it will keep until the best before date indicated (18-24 months). Store it at room temperature (18-22°C), away from light—do not refrigerate. Once opened, reseal carefully or transfer to an airtight, opaque container, and ideally consume within 3 to 4 weeks. An Arabica-dominant blend is more susceptible to oxidation than a Robusta blend—hence the 500g format, which is well-suited to individual consumption.
